Sad when we have 4 guys with Names starting with M and the best one is a 10 day call up from the D league LOL
Morrison, May and Mohammed don't deserve to be on an NBA team. The rest of this team is really playing well together. The thing is we lack depth and these guys are supposed to be a big part of that depth and is just is not going to happen.
I am hoping none of them are with us next year. Even Diop is starting to contribute in a positive fashion and the Bell Diaw addition obviously was an awesome deal.
Move these guys too - FAST...........PLEASE~!!

Diop is doing EXACTLY what we brought him in for... Blocking, Rebounding and giving Meka 10+ min of not playing...
May is worthless, but his expiring may net us something?
Morrison almost played good tonight, but after a hot shot he picked up a bad foul and didnt shoot after that...
Mohammad is foul absorption and a handful of rebounds...good game tonight, but just because May had a double double this season doesnt mean he sucks any less...
Morrison needs a change of scenery...but I'm guessing Higgins and MJ want too much for him or are waiting until next years deadline to get something from the FA players.
May is shit and needs to go as soon as the trade deadline passes
Mohammed provides veteran leadership that LB wants and is good for exactly what he did tonight - gathering rebounds and getting to the FT line
Martin needs to realize that he was brought to be a poor man's Crash not a broke man's Kobe...if he doesn't he'll be gone soon

I wouldn't lump Martin in there.
teej,
Are you upset because he takes jumpshots? It's obviously a part of his skillset. And if he's going to be out there, he should use it. Otherwise it's a hindrance on the offense. I actually would like to see more of what he can do, b/c to me Boris is at his greatest effectiveness at the 4.

No, I like Martin taking jumpshots, however, that is not what he is being brought in to do. He was brough in to be a high energy high flyer who can get to the basket
I am just afraid he will draw the ire of LB because LB is not a fan of the 3

Possibly. But if he is making them, that would silly on LB's part, IMO. The guy doesn't need to be Gerald lite. He needs to be the efficient offensive player he was in the D-league and play some defense. If the kid is taking shots within the flow of the offense (what LB begs Ammo to do), I do not understand why he would get upset with him. And I get LB not preferring the 3, but to me this would be extreme to the point of potentially being detrimental in our current situation, again if the guy is proficient.
When you have 2 guys on the wing who can knock down the long jumper, it makes the pick and roll/pop that much more deadly. It gives Emeka much more space to operate down low. And it provides more space for the guards to penetrate as it SPACES and BALANCES the floor.
I'm not exactly sure what LB was doing tonight, but it was one of his worst games from a rotation management standpoint that I have seen. You had Mek off the floor inexplicably for a long stretch in the 2nd half. You played Felton way too much (at least use some more TOs if you are going to do this) and he only got a blow due to some interesting officiating. I'm not sure what happened to Martin. He looked fine in there and took 2 good shots, made one. He cut to the basket on another play and unfortunately he and Howard both did it and resulted in a TO. It was the right idea though. He never came back though which put Boris at the 3 where he is average. He is an above average 4 who creates real mismatch problems. As a 3 running off screens, he is a solid player but does not have the impact he does from the high post.
That said, we just weren't tough enough tonight and once Utah got going, whatever they threw up was going in.

I'm 100% on the train of thought that Martin is almost perfect to be a poor man's GW... He can shoot a 3 better than GW, but he hasnt gone to the glass once...we need someone (besides S. Brown) who can do that, because that is a major part of our offense that is lacking... Oh I know Mek does hit the glass, but not the way that wallace (or J-Rich) does...I can't think of any team out there who doesnt have a high flier of some sort on the roster...and right now we don't have one and we need it despirately...I know Cartier can do it, but I think he's more worried about doing what he's told than what he can do, all a means to an end (an NBA contract).
And yes Ammo is only around (with his next year option already picked up) so that A. He can finally light up, or B. We can trade his expiring for something great next year...5.2 mil with the 125%+100k rule is like 6.6 mil we can bring back with him...I konw ppl likely want us to get less than we send out, but Ammo and next year is a case of a time when we can get someone who is starter quality on a reasonable team for a scrub because they want the cap space...NYK are set pretty good, but im sure someone will come up that isnt in teh talks now and suddenly be a player for 2-1/2 max contracts and getting Ammo could make them capable of 3 max's... Bosh, LeBron and Wade same team is a scary idea :)
Yes oldeast I totally agree with you, but LB has run players out before, and one cut to the basket to two 3 point attempts to no 2 pointers is not good for making LB a happy camper

Nazr needs play time to be efficent. He looked rusty last night. Nazr never gives it his all all at once. He 'paces himself'. He is a good player, he is just not a 'Larry Brown type player' which is a issue, since he is on a Larry Brown coached team, but like somebody said, he does give the leadership Larry wants.
Ammo and May are just :D:D:D:D:D
Well as we saw las year Nazr was good when he got his minutes, which is why I dont understand why he is rotting on the bench and AmMo is playing...Nazr can score 22 points in a game as aof last year, and AmMo can score what, 5?
