At the begining of the year when he was playing well Adam was driving the bal and shooting a little floater right in front of the rim. He was taking a lot of shots on the move and moving a lot with out the ball. Lately he just camps out in a spot and shoots spot Js. He seems determined to prove he can be a good defender and all around player but he never gets the wistle and lacks the talents to win many of those battles. Every time he gets the ball he looks to pass.

What is it going to take to get this guy into attack mode?

Sadly either a trade or nothing... :(

It apparently takes nothing for this guy to get into attack mode cuz he just doesn't have it in him anymore

According to Bonnell LB is thinking of starting the D Leaguer over him tomorrow night.

If you think the prima donna didn't have confidence before...

Speaking of Ammo...I read this article on SI a bit ago, should provide some food for thought

The most interesting part for me was this:

"Fittingly, Morrison and Redick were named the Co--Players of the Year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. That summer they were both lottery picks in the NBA draft. At the league's rookie orientation program, according to an NBA executive, a speaker asked players whether they envisioned scoring prolifically in their first season. Among a group that included Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay, only Morrison and Redick raised their hands."

SO true....

I hope LB does start Cartier and give him REAL minutes...20 or more, and win or lose the guy will either shine or fizzle...we've gotta know, its the last day of his 10 day...and we can only do one more 10 day.

I hope LB does start Cartier, and I hope we give him another 10 day contract. And you are right about the confidence factor. This may sink his battleship, but it needs to be done. He's just killing us with his lack of productivity. Every time I see his name in the game, all I think of is how good Brandon Roy and Rudy Gaye would look in a Bobcats uniform. I think that will finally stop when Ammo is off the team.

Adam really didn't play bad last game, so if he started tommorow, I wouldn't care too much.

IMO he should start but should be on a very short leash. Like only 2 mistakes and he's pulled.

I don't know if it's pity or sorrow i feel about Morrison. He's situation is totally different thenSean May's. Morrison looks like he;s running hard and trying to play tough. Seem totally shut down on offense. As we all know thats really all he is good for and if he's not bring points off the bench what good is he?

I want to see Martain. He didn't play bad in the time i saw the other night. He'll atleast give us something. With Crash down this is Morrison's chance to prove he's ready for the NBA. Can't blame LB, He's giving him a chance. Morrison is just blowing it. I want him to do good, I want him to play. But as soon as he's out there and i see he's doing nothing I'm ready to get the hook and haul him back off.

If Bell isn't back tommorow, you might see a linup of:

PG: Felton
SG: Adam
SF: Martin
PF: Diaw
C: Mek

Who would have ever thought we'd hurt for wings?

Ammofan, I'm guessing you paid the higher price? Hate that. But if you still have the higher amount price tag with it, it might be a collectors item soon! There's always a silver lining in every dark cloud!

That pretty much sums it up doesn't it? Our #3 pick being relegated to the status beneath that of a marginal bench player.

Brown "IS" a better player than Morrison... Ammo and even our May both had better pick it up or they both may end up playing on some D league team or in europe.....

Well...what happened was everyone else in the league knew that McMay had conditioning problems at UNC before the draft...and Morrison (most scouts anyway) would have trouble creating his own shot at the NBA level (to say nothing of his inability to defend)...so the worst case scenario for both players came true...it is sad but it happens...good to great college players do not equal good to great NBA players in many cases...I feel bad for Ammo since it is just the lack of an NBA skill set...McMay brought it on himself since he has the skill set but not the drive...both wasted draft picks...

Yeah. Like that will change everything. His confidence, defense, shooting stroke - everything. OK. Believe it for now. Let's see how things go in a couple weeks.

I wish the dude well Ohara but if the Lakers fans (and Jackson) did not like VladRad I doubt that Ammo will do it for them either...

I hope Morrison does well with the lakers. He is a bust, sure, but had the 2006 draft still had high schoolers (this was the transition year) then he probably would've went about 9th, and not had such high expectations. I think a location change will be good for him, and he won't have as much pressure and expectations in LA. I enjoyed his time in Charlotte, at least he gave us a little character. Happy trails Ammo.

I agree. I definitely hope he can turn things around and find a place in the league. It's one thing for a player to be a stoic and show little to no emotion (heck, Mek is sort of that way to a degree) but it's another when you just look miserable, and that was Ammo here. The upgrade fairy gave me 2nd row centercourt seats for the Memphis game and drunk to slightly drunken fans were constantly bombarding him with "Just shoot the ball, Adam! Don't think; shoot! Shoot it, Adam! Shoot!" etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum when he was 10 feet away taking the ball out or guarding the guy taking it out for the Grizz so he obviously heard. He took a 3 and made it on the other end and came back down, and without looking over our way, he pointed to the guys who were giving him hell about shooting.

I bring up this anecdote because this is the sort of stuff he's put up with since Day One here, and being the sort of personality he is, this was just never a good fit for him in Charlotte. To be honest, I don't know if there is a "good fit" for him, but it shouldn't do any further damage to go to LaLa Land where the expecatations are less and the spotlight will be dimmer on him.

Basically, for both the Cats and Ammo, this was a happy and needed parting of ways.

Problem for him Beagle is any time the Lakers are having a bad game and Ammo gets in look for Kobe to give him hell...I kinda wish he'd been traded to any other team because he's not a bad guy...I doubt the Lakers are the place to turn his head (and his lack of confidence) around...I really hope I'm wrong but I think he went from the frying pan (our fans expectations) inot the fire (Kobe).

The Lakers' UCLA alumni club did its best to make Adam Morrison feel welcome - so to speak.

Morrison arrived at the Lakers' practice facility Monday, a day after being acquired from Charlotte in a trade, to find a picture taped to his locker.

There was Morrison, sobbing, moments after his Gonzaga Bulldogs had been eliminated from the 2006 NCAA Tournament by Jordan Farmar's UCLA Bruins.

"I have a suspect," Morrison said with a smile. "I knew I would get some flak for that, coming to L.A."

Trevor Ariza is also a UCLA alum, but incriminating photos aside, Morrison couldn't be happier with the trade, which sent him and guard Shannon Brown to the Lakers in exchange for Vladimir Radmanovic.

...

While Morrison isn't assured of much playing time with the Lakers, coach Phil Jackson said he is open to seeing what Morrison can bring once he gets acclimated with the triangle offense.

In college, Morrison was a high-scoring forward who drew favorable comparisons to Larry Bird.

"I think the confidence issue is probably more with my knee than my game," Morrison said. "Half of the battle is just getting my knee to feel right. It feels good right now, so I'm just looking forward to contributing to this great team"

http://www.dailynews.com/ci_11668308?source=rss

It's a good thing that his co-players are already ribbing him, it'll probably give him a sense of belonging, let's see what he'll manage to accomplish with this new opportunity.

There was an article somewhere that said that he wanted to get away from #35 as he found it somewhat as a jinx or something and he wants to have a new start with the lakers or something
