View Full Version : Jordan Confesses to mistakes

Jordan is finally admitting that nearly all of his moves have been mistakes since he took over the team.

His trade for Richardson that blew our cap space had to be dissolved. Except we don't get our draft pick back or cap space back b/c its used on diaw/bell (blah)

His awful signing for Matt Carroll had to be unloaded. Except the cap room is now used for Diop (blah)

His Morrison draft pick was an epic bust and had to be unloaded (except now we get Rent-o-vic for a season on our books, ew)

The only thing he's done right is signing Wallace to a good contract and signing Okafor for only a bit more than he's worth...

Now we just have to figure out how to unload Felton for 80 cents on the dollar and not blow another first round pick this year. Too bad we didn't just take Lopez like most of us wanted...

We may be a playoff team in 2010... unreal that it takes a team six years to reach the playoffs when they have such a great cap advantage over the rest of the league.

Blowing your cap space and draft picks on semi scrubs is almost as stupid as spending a trillion dollars on democrat pet projects when you're mired in an enormous recession brought about by wasteful spending in the first place.

Are you basing this "confession" off of trades or are his words in print somewhere?

I don't see Jordan saying nothing . I can't understand where or how you came up with the title of this thread.

First off, I think this is a dumb fuck post in the first place with a lot of questionable points. And second off, what the fuck is the point of bringing in politics into a basketball forum? Take it to the fucking off topic if you want to bitch about something you probably know even less about than basketball.

Sounds made up but you forgot trading away a future 1st round pick for Ajinca who has only playd 26 games. It think thats just as many as Sean May give or take a game.

Jordan isn't even doing anything......this is all LB and RH. Phil jackson said he didn't talk to jordan about the Mo-Vlad trade

What great cap advantage? You know we were on a significantly reduced cap compared to the rest of the league for our 1st few years - right?

I'll never understand why people sprout off in print about things they no nothing about. It's not like you can go back and say "I never said that" because it's here, written, where everyone can see it.

I have to disagree with you..I think DJ has been a FANTASTIC asset to this team

Well, nobody KNEW he was gonna suck. Lots of fans were happy.

But here we are today.

MJ is not Nostradamus, he didnt know this would happen, however, it did and he fixed his mistake by using Morrison to get something the team needed (Vlad-Rad).

I agree, no one knows weather a player is going to be great or suck when they first enter the league, hell they may be great out of college and hurt a knee and end their carrier. So its easy to sit back and make statements after the fact to say he was dumb to do this or to do that. What if Ammo would have been great and never gotten hurt? Nothing but praise would be heard. I praise MJ for getting us LB and letting him build us a good team. May not look like it right now with 3 players sidelined, but let larry work his magic this year and next year we will be good.... I have faith by year 3 of LB the Bobcats will be dangerous. So I have nothing but praise for MJ and the front office for doing what they are doing this season.....

As of 4/25/08 he had a C, on 4/26 he moved to B-, and the fact that he is letting LB do what he feels he needs gives MJ at least a B+. It's hard to go from being one of the most incredible players in the game, unquestioned in everything, to an Exec having everyone question everything you do, then hiring someone you love and respect and giving him carte blanche to do whatever is needed...thats a huge transition and he's done it well...

MJ's trade for JRich wasn't just about on-court or financials, it gave Charlotte a bona-fide semi-star and a great guy in the community.

AmMo was the best available based on what we knew and Roy didnt want to come.

Carroll put fans in the stands and while hs contract was a mistake, it was a major one

Boobcats- keep politics out of here and with your level of intelligence, you might want to go hide in your cardboard box...

MJ the FO superstar isn't making any all star teams any time soon. The LB hiring has changed everything. MJ has a new start from now on and what has happened so far this year is a better upgrade then we have ever had here. LB is only here because of Jordan's constant calls. MJ's slowly getting rid of his past mistake's. I'm waiting to see whats next.

Hopefully LB is teaching MJ what to do s when LB makes the certain change of teams, MJ wont be leading us back towards futility...

I honestly think this is LB's final spot. His coaching career has come full circle now back to Charlotte. I see him staying a few years, getting us to be playoff bound every year, then stepping back and admiring his work

Didnt Philly think the same thing...and New York...and parts of Detroit?

Youre gonna have to drag him off the court...

hahaha if only I'd have been here sooner!:p +1 'cuz you beat me to it

and teej, I don't see how Philly could've been. That was like 10 years ago and he was still young. NY is a different story and it most likely could've been his last place but they ended bad so I doubt he could've left it at that. He's old.. he has health problems.. and this is where he started his career. I can see him calling it quits after this stop if things go nicely.

Rudy gay was still avaliable and definitely wanted to come here, but we chose morrison. I hated this so much, but morrison was a good player in college and wasnt a DUMB choice. It brought some image to the team, more fans (cuz even b4 he got traded the charlotte fans loved him every time he came in the game), so i cant blame MJ too much on that. J-rich trade wasnt bad either. I think everyone needs to relax on MJ and remember that MJ didnt pick kwame brown on the bobcats (everytime MJ's bad exec duties get brought up i hear kwame, and he is irrelevent now). Jordan now knows what to do as a GM, as in build a team that the coach (HoF coach) that can be coached and can improve. 2010 talk is garbage, we can and should make the playoffs next year its just too bad we cant capatilize on it earlier. I still have playoff hopes this year, but injuries have really hurt us. We could easily pick up 3-4 games if we had everyone healthy. EX: raja on wade, prolly wouldve helped us tonight considering we lost by 4. But Jordan is still okay in my books, and people need to know he isnt the greatest EXEC just player but he too can improve.
