View Full Version : Wedding rings and other wedding stuff
I know there are a lot of young ung's around here, but they are included here!!
1. If you are/were some day married, would you wear a wedding ring.
If yes, why? If no, why not?
2. If you are/were married one day, would you expect your wife to take your last name?
If yes, why? If no, why not?

Yes, it is a sign of fidelity to your spouse, and I would expect my spouse to do the same

I would hope that she would just for tradition and keeping things easier, but if she didn't that's fine too I guess

Yes (most of the time).
For me I wear my ring whenever I'm outside of the house, but sometimes I forget. When I do its not a big deal.
At home, I never have it on because I just don't find jewelry very comfortable in general.

No.
Its nice that mine did, but what's in a name?

I wear my wedding ring/engagement ring all the time. I wear it because it shows that I am married and am very commited to that vow I made/man that I love. When they are off I feel weird without them.
I took hubby's last name as a way to show him that I love him and it didn't really bother me..it's just what there is to do I guess

When/If I get married, I'll wear my ring (unless I go to the strip club ;)). It's one of those circle of love type things so why not?!
My last name, well she has to earn that. I don't just go giving it out like some tramp!

HAHAHAHA I couldn't stop laughing when I read this..you are too funny
I wear my ring and basically don't take it off. I don't know, it just shows that I'm married.
My wife took my last name.
At the time we got married (which was a while ago), we were a little more traditional. If I were to get married now, I probably wouldn't wear a ring or expect her to take my name. I guess it doesn't matter -- I don't have to prove anything by showing, visibly, that I'm married. I probably wouldn't even get married as my religious views have really changed a lot.

1. I'd wear the ring. I guess it's just a traditional thing and would mean something to her (probably).
2. I would want her to take my name, probably, but would understand if she did not. It's her choice really. The girl I'm dating now is great and if we got married (good possibility - she's got a lot of upside) I'd hope she'd take my name since her name is kinda weird, and my last name is sweet and silky smooth. Really, it seems like the only logical choice she'll have when the time comes to decide on these things.
I'd hope she'd take my name since her name is kinda weird,
She Polish?? Crzyewski or sumthing?
and my last name is sweet and silky smooth.
wait, a guy just said his name was sweet and silky smooth?? :g::g:

HA ha... Oh yeah, the ladies love it!
Nah, her name's Czech, I think. It's not really long or hard to pronounce, but it's kinda harsh... not silky smooth.
