Here is another shot at our elusive 20th win of the season.
The big question tonight is What will the starting lineup look like?
With Raja & Gerald out and Shannon and Ammo gone. I'm guessing that we are going to see a whole lot of Ray, DJ and Cartier... Wow, that rhymes
What do you guys think about tonight's game?
amour217
02-08-2009, 04:55 PM
Should be interesting, to put it mildly: whoever starts needs to step it up...and that's from all positions because our lack of bench depth could help in our demise tonight
They said online Radman was going to at least be with the team, will he play?
amour217

I don't know why, but whenever I see Radman's name, I think of Soda Popinski from Mike Tyson's Punch Out lol

And they have!

Going with DJ/Felton/Boris/Howard/Mek?
Felton is going to have his hands full guarding Flash.

At the moment Juwan Howard is carrying the whole offensive load, which is not a promising sign. We're in the game though and will be.

Howard is the man so far! Stroking the midrange and playing smart D!
We're giving up way too much in the paint.
Diaw hits a 3 and we're not playin too bad

What a low scoring quarter, 14-14 in almost 10 minutes!
The commentator just mentioned that Bobcats and Heat are at the bottom of 1st quarter scoring rankings with 22 and 21 something. But now they will not even get close to those numbers!!
Go Bobcats.

He's having a really good game. He's not shot except for when he had to and his passes have all been pretty good. I thought Boris deserved the 1st TO, but the 2nd was Felton's when he tried to split the double team.
Agreed, he needs to do this more.

It's frustrating to get scored at buzzers. Especially after last loss against Atlanta.

It hasn' been that bad a start so far. We're lucky it's the Heat they are just as bad on offense. But they have Wade. DJ is the only on hitting anything but he doesn't look the same yet. I missed the time Martin & Lil Sean were on the court, how did they do?

If you look at the halftime stats, the entire bench is perfect from the field with the exception of Nazr.

Just caught up watching on my DVR, man it is a SLOPPY game of course that is to be expected with the uncommon lineups we are putting out there.
It is good to be close but wade sat half og thr half on the bench and we seem to be losing momentum.
I hope we can get this win as the clippers are tomorrow and we should be able to play with them. I plan on going to watch and see
We need to ship Nazi out of here, my goodness he sucks in every way possible, he makes Diop look like an all star

i like how felton is passing the ball, his shot is not falling tonight, but DJ is stepping up
Felts can't hit a shot to save his life (even though the looks he is getting are good looks and he's not forcing anything) but man, he's made really good passes all night.
And DJ is warming right up with his J.

I grown respect for Felton over the past month or so but I really think we should try and get something for him as i dont see us overpaying him this offseason to resign him. You would think we can package his with Nazi or May for something decent

I really like Juwan Howard, I watch him at all th ehome games i go to and he is one of the first on the court, the last off the court, at every timeout he is out there hi-fiving everyone and he is making noise on the bench when he is not playing. The guy has no need to play outside of really enjoying the game, he is a great influence on this team. I hoep he is here next year, he is still in basketball shape in his mid / late 30's and has an all star attitude
Compare that to Sorry Sean May

We can't play any defense and this is being yet another match we're losing because of it.
Being the 5th in the points allowed doesn't make us good defensive team. Moreover, we're crap in defense, starting with DJ unfortunately. His guys (tonight it's Chalmers) always beat him and dribble directly to the basket.

disappointing loss but expected...we played better than i thought we would...props to DJ, Juwan and Lexy

Even if we can see how our two injured starters were missing us, it was not a very bad game. Bench was quite consistent and when we were caming back they always hit 3pts.
But now we really nead a win!

The losses only cement us further into the quagmire of the Lottery. But the fact that we went into Miami without 2 starters and took them right to the end is a very good sign. We may be too late this season given our injury status, but we have some very good pieces to work with for next season.
I am betting that if we continue to lose between now and the All Star break, that we likely deal someone else for a player LB likes and a draft pick.

Lexy did good, Juwan did good, DJ -what can ya say.. Felts did fair, he did great on asists but he didnt hit his shots until the 4th, to me thats too little too late... It was a good game but we just couldnt stop Maimi from scoring.... Hurry back GW and Bell.....

After some reaffirmations and a nice week-long break from the experience that is Bobcats basketball, I'm happy to say I'm back and in a better frame of mind than I was last time I was here during the 3rd qtr of the Jazz game.
Tonight was fun to watch and I was happy with the play of the guys for the most part. Most of my blame goes to Larry, as in, why take out Lexy? Was he not in the lineup when the Heat lead was being sliced and diced? Was he not contributing points, rebounds, block on Beasley? Hell, more than holding his own against fellow rookie Beasley when they were matched up. I'm not saying that was the difference in the game, but why take him out after helping slash the lead? And when he's out, the lead swells again. ILBIT as a teacher. ILBIT as a coach. ILBIT as a talent evaluator and personnel fella. ILBIT not so much with rotations. And the incredulity of the Lexy situation wasn't the only instance of befuddling rotations this season, just the most recent. Anyway, as the unabashed Number One Fan in the local Lexy Fan Club, I hope it's a sign of things to come with him getting some minutes.
Very happy to see DJ back. Nice to see that Bob made the effort to get to Miami to watch his team play  I wonder if he remembers how to get to Charlotte? :g: Solid production from Juwan and Gana also! The other team was just on with their jumpshots or this would've been a win I warrant.

I am of the opinion that Miami was a good opportunity for MJ and BJ to be seen and it worked schedule wise for them....plus they undoubtedly were chatting after the game wondering who is larry trying to send where for who next? Only 5 more Pre-Larry players, and probably 2 (crash and Meka) will stay in the long haul...so not much more trading worth doing, but what makeover.
