The Warriors are reportedly willing to include Monta Ellis or Andris Biedrins, but not both, in the right trade.

The Warriors are looking for more big men, but really only have swingmen and guards to offer in return.

This comes from The San Fransico Chronicle. They have said to be wanting bigs so we offer them a prospect at the pg and 2 bigs. We in return get a starting sg which allows us to bring Raja off the bench with the second unit for scoring and defensive purposes. We get a sf allowing us to us Radmon at the 4 with a solid backup pg in Williams. Then we get someone that can play the 2 and the 3 in Morrow. We would have to cut Lil Sean or send him away for a pic or something.

No, not at all...I wouldn't trade DJ for anyone right now...he is our future...no reason we should trade him...It be like the Lakers trading Kobe for Rudy Gay, and 3 bench players...its just not done...

Plus I don't want Ellis's contract...

The Hornets traded Kobe on draft night for Vlade Divac and some other ragga muffin. I hope this franchise doesn't make the same mistake.

The Hornets traded Kobe on draft night for Vlade Divac and some other ragga muffin. I love how the Kobe/Hornets draft of '96 has become such a part of Charlotte/Carolinas sports folklore and legend. It's true that the Hornets did draft Kobe, but the actual and correct way to view the trade as John DeLong wrote a couple years back (and Bob Bass admitted to and I think Jerry West even commented on) is that the Hornets drafted FOR the Lakers in order for them to get a big man back in Divac that they gave away in Zo the previous season. It was just like us drafting Brandan Wright for the Warriors, exactly the same. It was the Lakers doing the drafting; the Hornets made the selection for them.

Bass said himself that if the trade had not been in the works, Kobe would've never been taken by him and the Hornets...he wasn't even on their radar in terms of personnel needs.

Now it's possible Bass and others are/were blowing smoke to make it look like the Hornets didn't make a huge gaffe by trading away a future superstar (which I don't think is the case), which is what makes the trade such a part of the area sports folklore.

I remember those days and Kobe said that he would never sign with the hornets that he would never play in a hornets uniform. I heard that on the news back in those days...I'll never forget it....

I like Ellis...Where he is...LB would shoot himself in the head trying to deal with this kid...He has talent but he would not fit on this Bobcats team

I do. He's better than DJ. I'd definitely trade DJ and trash for the better player and more future in Randolph

Any shot in hell we actually get him? I think not. The media can speculate all they want, Monta never demanded a trade, he said he likes being a Warrior, and with all the money they pay him, its safe to say he is their franchise player.

Then here all us brainyacks at Bobcats Planet decide, 'Hey maybe May+Nazr+1 out of 2 Point Guards = Monta Ellis and most of the Warriors rotation.

I love the stimulating conversation here, and i am not trying to hate on yall, but this idea is a bit crazy, and that is saying it nicely.
