Its a damn shame regardless of the missed games DJ is not spoke in the same sentence of other rookies. We need to come together and start flooding boards with rookie rankings and any mention of what rookies are doing. D.J. is on fire since he has come back and was taking care of business before he got hurt and there is no mention anywhere. If they won't take notice let's make them take notice there is a gem in Charlotte.

There are many gems in charlotte, and none of them get any credit, be it rookie DJ, or should-be-allstars Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace.
They'll know who we are next year I'd bet.

Next year? Let's not give up on this year. We are still in position to make a run and get the eight spot. When the playoffs start it's a new season everybody is 0-0. Question? I love the bobcats but who do you replace on the east all-star team with Gerald Wallace and 50? Also, veteran players are judged against everyone league wide and rookies only extend to 25 players if that many. D.J. gets no run and he is being judge against less. Anyway, I am looking forward to this second half run. Go Cats!

I think if we do succeed in making the playoffs, we'll be able to stay around long enough to prove to the league that we're a good team and dj will get recognized that way. Dj could also be the highest scoring rookie in the playoffs given that chicago doesn't make it. Overall, I think his lack of publicity can only motivate him to go on more scoring outbursts.

He's getting some publicity today. The fantasy show on NBA TV is saying he is clearly playing very well together with Felton and he can drop 30 any given night, and that he is probably the 4th best rook this year, "a steal by Charlotte at 9th"

Answer: Gerald isnt one of the best wing/guards in the league so he didnt deserve to be there. Hes close but not there. Okafor should have gone instead of Mo Williams! If Oak is in there instead of that incredible waste of money ReShard Lewis during the West 3rd quarter blowup... the East has a much better chance of winning.
All in all the East bench was embarrassing. not even close to the West in terms of depth.

i would start wih backup center Mo Williams... You can have williams there over Ray Allen, blame Stern if so.

There's no way in hell AI or Allen shoulda been on the East's roster.

Allen has actually been having the best year of the "Big Three". So if he doesn't deserve to be there then neither does Pierce or KG.
I definitely don't think AI should've been on the team as he's having one of the worst years of his career thus far... Mo Williams was a stretch, and I would've been happier if Mek took the spot Bosh left as the East team was seriously lacking in frontcourt depth.

Iverson was voted in by the people (Including me 1 ballot out of about 15).
We basketball love him, no matter what his points per game is.
The fans NEED to see this:

As for Ray Allen, that guy also deserved it. I dont know if i would have put Mo Williams or Rashard Lewis up their though. Okafor would have helped the east and their lack of size out a lot!
playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

No need to panic...I was reading USA Today today and they had two articles mentioning DJ.. granted, it is a small blurb on him, but I think next year he will be on the radar.

either way, i don't care too much about whether our players are on the media's radar or not.. it would be nice for one of them to make it the all star game. but if we are winning games, individual performances/awards etc, are not my priority

Agreed, but still you have to feel what I am saying. Here is a guy that has been constantly doubted on every level because of his size. Even when he was draftedto Charlotte the locals went into a rage. All he has done was prove doubters wrong and now that he is doing it on the highest level I feel he should get his due credit especially when you got a guy like Westbrooks shooting 29% from the three 5.3 assist to 4.1 turnovers considered the best thing since Bo Jangles chicken. Thanks for the link....
