We all heard that suns are trying to move Amar'e. Well this is just a crazy idea, and usually i am the guy to sh!t on these. But i am just saying, what if we acquired him?
Even i think i am getting out of line, after all, on these boards, I am Javert and everybody else is Jean Valjean. BUT i was just thinking, maybe too hard. The trade i tried worked. What do yall think?

First of all. +1 for the Les Mis comparison.
Second, Im hesitant in all trades involving Wallace. I would first like to know if this is possible at all before i pass judgement.

It said 'This Trade is Successful' so i am guessing it is fiscally possibly. IDK what yall think, i think its impossible, but a Okafor-STAT-Diaw-Bell-DJ lineup is good enough to be a contender in the east.

But the problem is, so is Mek/Diaw/Wallace/Bell/Felton. When everyone was healthy, we had a great little run going.
I'd be willing to do that trade if Wallace has difficulty returning from his injury, but until then I don't want to give up our two hardest workers for someone who seems to have a bad attitude

I see your point and find it very agreeable.
But STAT's attitude is different. I think he is just mad at the way Steve Kerr is managing the team, he doesnt like the direction things are going, so he is acting out. I think whatever team acquires him will have a pumped up motivated superstar looking for revenge.

I dont know how bad that would be for us.
Consecutive playoff appearances, title contention, and national media attention. None of that is appeling? Plus, the Suns were a older team in the west. We would be a younger team than them, with a better Coach (LB eats D'Antoni's for breakfast), and we would play defense.
Is it really that terrible?
But i see your point, forging our own identity is most likely a better path.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ausk9bAccording to the trade checker we lose two more games and the Suns don't improve. Now I doubt that is true on the part of the Suns but I don't see how getting rid of Crash and Felton really help our club. I like the chemistry we have and in no way would I want to destroy that by getting rid of Raymond and Crash. What stands out most to me about this trade is that we already got a third string pg in Singletary from Phoenix but he is by no means ready to get any serious playing time. The only way I even think about a trade involving Felton is if we get a clear backup to DJ Augustine. Gerald and Felton are better combined than Amare Stoudemire could be for our team. So though this trade works out it is not logical or beneficial to our team imo. It is intriguing to say the least and I would love to have Amare but not at the price it would cost our team to get him. Thanks for floating this trade by everybody and I appreciate everybody's contributions to the forum.
Already the team is getting offers for Raymond but nobody want's to give fair value in return. It may have been that in the past other organizations thought our FO was gullible patsies but I can see that our Bobcats FO is not going to be that way any longer.

their was a reason i titled this thread 'Crazy idea'
1. Because it was crazy
2. Because i knew it would cause conversation
But i still think this would do good for us. I am convinced that STAT could not ruin our team, but at the same time, i think our team is great as it is. As for the lack of backcourt depth, that would be a problem, a problem that could easily be solved by a d-leaguer / raiding Europe (and bringing Jannero Pargo back possibly).
And i am not trying to 'defend' this idea as much as trying to explain it. Because i think it was a laughable idea from the start, just wanted to see what yall would think.

I have absolutely no problem with bringing Amare to Charlotte. The problem I see if what we would have to give up in order to acquire him. We just don't really have the pieces they would want/I would want to give up in order to bring him here.

Who even knows what they want.
Steve Kerr has gone mad with power.
For all not farmilar with who Kerr is, he was a decent player turned insane GM (who gave us Boris Diaw and Raja).
Here he is in picture:

The coach he brought in to run his style of play will be fired tomorrow.

They are in need of a big and giving up one that is injured can't hurt. Maybe we could even try this one if they ard desperate.

Seeing how Nazr would fit into their limited defense all offense philosophy (because, when given play time Nazr can score) i can see either one of those happening.

Hell no. I don't want Shaq in a million years, especially after the rumors that he's going to retire next season...
I don't like either of these, would you trade lovers just stay pat for once?!?!?!

Like uhm, holy shit no :) That's about as close to "buying" rings as what the Celtics did last year, just Shaq doesn't have many years left. Sorry too much Love for Wallace to move him for anyone, i.e. I wouldn't do this, even though it is projected to get us above 50% for the first time ever. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=amlkzh

True :) didn't you get the humor from mine :) No cats fan in their right mind would say no to the trade I did above, even if it costs us everything we've got... Kobe, Lebron, 5 vets on min contracts and 8 d-league greats and we could probably go all the way (as long as the 2 top guys dont get hurt)

Well, I think Boris has to play some minutes at PF to be effective. I'm not sure if he would like to play with Amare again. I think that our FO asked Raja and Boris "what if" already and they would working on something if they liked that idea, larry liked that idea and whoever else is important liked it. I'm not sure everybody liked it - maybe did, maybe didn't. I'm not sure how amare would fit. Attitude could be a problem too.

last night they did say that every single team in the NBA has called Phoenix about getting STAT. We are in that group. But i doubt it was serious.
