Sign Sam Cassell?

The Kings got Sam Cassell, but quickly waived him. We have a 15th roster spot (assuming we don't make a 2:1 trade in the next 5-1/2 hours. It wouldn't cost much because the NBA picks up a big portion of a vet's min salary. I don't know if he'd want to come here, but he seems the kind of guy who loves the game... Like a juwan point guard (player/coach, cheerleader).

Just wondering what everyone else thinks. I mean if we move Felton to Miami for Cook, picking up Cassell would give us a tried and true vet who may not play as much as help larry teach from a bit closer to the game.

and dare i say it...Super Star Jeff McGinnis.



Did you watch the Celtics last year? This guy cannot play AT ALL. He is old. He is basically Eric Snow without the NBA TV job. Just a contract and a name.

It wasn't about his play so much as his teaching. Juwan doesn't play much if we're healthy, but his presence on the bench is clear.

There is a point when you have enough "teachers"...Bobcats have plenty of capable teachers for the PG position...and Sam does like to listen to himself...anytime...anyplace...all the time...about anything...a lot annoying after awhile...

We got our coaching staff and our veterans for teaching. Sam couldnt do anything and it would lead to Sean the Little and DJ getting too many minutes.

ya no cassell at all. we need ppl that can contribute off the bench, plus i mean sam cassel is an alien. just look at the way his head is shaped. i personally do not want to see any of our pg's turn into him

Yeah no go on Cassell. He's old as dirt and won't sign anywhere without a chance at a ring. He's reached the "ride someone's coattails to a title" phase of his career.

Not a chance....to be honest...think I'd rather have McInnis back than Cassell...at least McInnis could pass some and make some shots...not much but some...
