According to this blurb on realgm, we have made offers for Jeff Foster and we were turned down. I know he was included in the Tinsley rumor but, I didn't think we were trying to get him alone in any deal. I wonder what we were offering?

That's interesting, I honestly thought it would end up Nazr for Tinsley and we'd use a trade exception to bring in a young guy off their roster.

Why would we want friggin Jeff Foster? We already have a superior version of him in Radmonovich. I really hate some of the stupid rumors I've read on espn and the like the past couple weeks. :g:

Why are all the trade rumors only about big men... I think we need a SG or wing type player other then Martin. We need another Vet if anything.

Why would we want friggin Jeff Foster? We already have a superior version of him in Radmonovich. I really hate some of the stupid rumors I've read on espn and the like the past couple weeks. :g:

First off, Foster is a totally different player than Radmanovich. Second, Foster is a fantastic rebounder and plays a very physical defense that is needed by a lot of teams.

I would've loved to have Foster in Charlotte, but I guess we didn't send enough over or (and this is what I think) Charlotte sent them a solid offer, but Indiana really values what he brings to the team.

Agreed. Foster and Radmanovich couldn't be more different players. I don't want to give up core players but I would love to get Foster here in Charlotte!

I wonder what credible offer we could have given them assuming it was just for Foster?

Maybe there wasn't an actual offer - more just a phone call to check his availability?
