BRILLIANT!!!! To bad it will never happen. And we need to trade Delhomo first. (nothing against gays, he is just in love with the other team's defense)

I am no fan of Jake either. I was seriously thinking I'd like to trade Peppers to NE for Cassell and their 1st which is #23. I think Cassell is very Brady-like. And that is a whole lot better than Jake. Then we use #23 on the best player available. We either address our DE need in the early draft or via FA. But there will be a let down there, no doubt. There just isn't going to be a replacement for Peppers to jump out at us this year. The rest of the guys have to pick it up.

I think this is really a very good option (for both us and Pep - not that I care how he feels at this point).

Glad we've got Gross, and also glad we now have control of what happens to Peppers.

Supposing we trade for Cassell, where do we go with Jake, then. What could we get via trade for him. Do we keep him as a back-up/possible starter if he really shows more focus in camp?

Another QB option that I like is McNabb. I'd love to get him in Charlotte.

McNabb is working out an ext. in Philly. As for Jake, if we got Cassell, I'd look to maybe send him to Minn. maybe? Detroit?

Delhomme is too expensive to be a backup...but if we traded him for a pricey DE and traded Pep for a QB/pick, we'd be set

I still am pissed with both of them though

With more news out now that Cassel has been traded i think we see were going to be stuck with Jake this year and hope to get Bradford or McCoy next year(either is fine by me) but this year we should trade Peppers to NE for #34 and #47. While i'm hopeful that we can get one of the two QB's above next year, realisticly we wont have a high enough pick to get them.

So with the trade with NE we pick Michael Johnson out of GT with #34 he's 6'7" 260 and an excellent pass rusher, he has some motivational problems but his skills are undeniable. With #47 we pick Ron Brace, huge DT that will close down the middle for us, now that we will see D. Ward twice a year who killed us this year in NY we will be in need of his services. With our #59 we pick Pat White. He had a steller combine and is a slightly slower Vick with a better arm and much more accurate. He is a good character guy and with our run style O-line if he doesent like what he sees he can just take off and pick up yards so we wont be 3rd and 8 all the time.

I like this plan for the panthers and i think NE would take this deal. Some people might not like the Pat White pick but the beauty of him is he can play in the slot and punt returns so if even if he crashes and burns at QB he can still be used. I know others will say we need to go all defense in this draft and while i agree, we need an upgrade at QB and we use 2 of the 3 second rounders on D players and we still have the 3d 4th 5th 6th round to get better on D so Pat White is a great value pick at #59.

Even if both were available Fox will never take a Pat White style QB, and thats final in his mind.

I like it.

It seems inevitable that if we move Peppers, then NE is the place. Obviously, they love to pick up guys like Pep and return them to stardom. I wonder, though, what if we don't move him. How's he gonna play if we do not trade him? We've seen him lay back for a season and get minimal sacks. I would really like to move him, but it's said he only has 3 or 4 teams on his "okay to trade" list. Does this list make a damn bit of a difference to what Carolina CAN do?

Pep would play hard enough that teams would trade for him without fear of hm doing the same thing to them. Don't think he isn't watching whats happend to TO or Manny Ramirez.

As far as who we can trade him to, maybe Dallas cut TO and Roy Williams to be able to afford him? Heck if I know, but that'd be cool, get him out of the way and in a mess of his own doing :p
