Sigs I am learning on....

I am learning the new version of photo shop and will be making Sigs for the practice. I am just going to post some here. If you see one you want let me know I will tag your name on it and you can use it. Requests are being handled by Ammofan in a different thread... hes way better at this then me anyways <Smile>


First up a Crash sig...
I learned about multilayer effects on this one. 3 layers all at 50% see through and a different effect on each layer gives the image "depth"... at least that's what the tutorial said.

This time I was learning about the magnetic magic wand, used for selecting part of an image for pasting over a 2nd or 3rd image, and some basic 3d text stuff. Not going to lie.. 3d text is hella repetitive work

This one sucks but i was learning about Layer styles. I am going to go try and work out some glowing lines into an action shot now.

Soooo apparently my ability to draw neon lines is... Lacking. So i switched over to into to lighting and brushes.

So I went with something more freehand this time. A couple of layers and textures at work here but I blended in some transformations and stylized brushes.

I kind of like this one.

Mike those are great! The only advice I could give you (and this is my personal opinion) is to show more of the court or surroundings and less effects. Kinda like how your personal sig pic looks

Ya, I know it looks better with some context, but I am still learning how to use most of the features in Photoshop so I tend to get carried away with effects.

I dont like this one. I had hoped to do his name in flaming letters but i couldent find a good way to do that on a non black background. Oh well... on to the next one.


BTW does anyone have tips on where i can get more player photos to work with? Google image search is coming up dry.

What I really like about the Vlade one is that it looks like he's high-fiving himself on the right-hand side of that sig. That's awesome.

My thought on the "Fiery Crash" sig is that maybe you could extend the flames throughout, and then have the name in black, but with the letters on fire. You'd have to lose the clouds, but I think it'd work. I like what you've been trying to do with these.

As far as pics, I'd try looking through the archives on the Observer's website. They put pics out after every game, I think, and they might all be stored on the site somewhere.
