View Full Version : Meeting Coach Larry Brown

Tonight I got into the arena as always crazy early in my hopes of securing a Vladi autograph to complete my hat and while I was waiting for him to come out I had quite to shocker...Coach Brown came out and was very gracious to autograph my hat as well as my father's...I spoke with him for almost 5 minutes joking around about keeping Cartier and Felton and how many crazy deals they were offered over in the 12 hours leading up to the deadline. I was very shocked at what a personable guy he is, considering his superstar status around the NBA and whatnot...but he talked to me like we were fishin' buddies...He even said him and Dell were going back to the lockerroom to finish watching an old Curry era game that was on in the locker room. The thing that was neet too, was that when I told him my father said thanks for signing his hat, because he couldn't walk the steps and stand himself... Larry gave a big wave up to my dad and wife sitting at the top of the section there waiting for me, it was just very special, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone here...

I also had some fun and got DJ, Sean Singletary and Diop to autograph next to my tattoo, DJ and sean were like "huh" signing my arm, but Diop was like "Oh I've done this before" I had to go before the rest of the guys came off, but it was still interesting and I may do it again next season maybe or on a wedensday night game.

It was even more nice of Larry that he waited for me to come down the stairs to shake his hand to say hi to him :)

Can't wait to meet Coach, he sounds as nice as I thought he'd be. I've got a sig hat going myself, but right now it's just got Gerald's and Ryan Hollins' signature on it.

Cool story Tat... Dude sounds really cool, and I hope to get the chance to meet him one day... You are a true fan....Mad props for the tat and going to games super early...

The Cats organiztaion seems to do a great job trying to connect with fans. I have never been to a game. I live to far and the ecnomy lately hasnt allowed for that. But it's good to see how much the FO, Jordan, Coaches, and players are willing to interact

The Cats organiztaion seems to do a great job trying to connect with fans. I have never been to a game. I live to far and the ecnomy lately hasnt allowed for that. But it's good to see how much the FO, Jordan, Coaches, and players are willing to interact

Let me know when you can make a game, and if I'm able to I'll see about helping you out with some player interaction...2-1/2 hours is a haul though...

I live about 2.5 hours from Charlotte and we bought a five game package and I think it would be really cool if you could help me meet some of the players and coaches. I just dont know where to go to catch them. I was at the Orlando game Friday night and it was dissappointing to say the least. It just seemed like we couldnt make the shot and they couldn't miss a shot. It seemed the same way in yesterday's game as well. I hope we make a run here towards the end of the season because we have a great group of guys out there and i think if we make the playoffs we can potentially do some damage. But I would really appreciate it if you could give me some info on where to catch the coaches and players. Thanks. GO BOBCATS

Where in NC is Raeford?

Charlotte is about 2.5 or 3 hrs from Raeford...Raeford is about 30 or 40 mins from the SC state line

Looked it up on Google Earth...you're out there...near Ft. Bragg right?

Yeah, I used to work on Bragg...I thought when i get out of basic they might ship me back... but thats looking more and more doubtful. Raeford only has like 2500 people.... 500 of them are drunks, crackheads and illegal aliens

Wow...my school has more kids than your town has legal citizens

I'm Sorry... we have grown :D....Sad thing about these stats are most of the Lumbee's ( Native Americans ) live just outside the county lines. Atleast 25-30 % of the illegals dont even know how to read a census. I'm really really confused how so many of them even found Raeford
