I tend to think we have made a few bad choices [Diop]
For the money i feel Primoz was a much better deal.
Thoughts on the BOBCATS spending . Have we handcuffed our self from getting star players.

what star player would want to come here? I mean, maybe a marginal star (Josh Howard) or a old star (allen iverson) but i dont see Lebron comming through that door.

I am not a fan of our spending either, im just saying, we need to make a name for ourselves first then let the stars show up.

playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

It's too early to say if it is "wise"...We will have a better idea at the end of the next season

I agree with BETCATS though...We really need to take some risks and get some average and above average players and hope that together they are better than individually. And that is where Larry Brown comes into play.

The way we are building our team is different than some other teams like Portland or OKC that have a lot of young talent. Doesn't mean that it is worse or better, but it is just a different approach.

So, if we are to getting any results, we are to take risks which is what we are doing... it's too early to say yet, but I feel comfortable with the team we have. We may very well be one player away from being contenders in the East. This is the first step we need to take.

What we are doing is getting veterans who know how to win. All but one of the players we traded for have plenty of playoff experience. Not OKC or Portland. I like our chances in the playoffs over them anyday. And we will do anything to move Nazzy in the offseason, and I'm thinking maybe Okafor too

I think all this team needs is a "big" big. Someone that can compete with the bigger bigs better to replace Nazr with, and we also need a automatic 3 point threat that would be better than J-Rich was. If we could pull that off this off season we could compete for a championship the way I see things...

Vlad is more of a three point threat than pretty much anyone.

I agree with getting a backup C who is a complete defensive guy. Oh, how I wish Diop could do that every night.

Hmmmm, I agree with half of that

We need a true Big C, I like Okafor and w will still get to the playoffs next year with him but we will never be real contenders if of 4/5 spot is Diaw / Okafor it is just too small and soft

I think we already have nearly as good as it gets 3 pt threats in Bell and Vlad.

I think we need a star 2 and a BIG 5 and have Bell and Vlad come off the bench and then we are true contenders

How we get that - who knows. We will never get out of the first rounds of the playoffs without it though. I hate mediocrity and i feel we went from a Bad team to a medicore one. A few moves away still from being a true contender

I feel like we won two of the three trades we made last year . Only losing the Diop trade due to his large contract.
The large contract we picked up from the Lakers seems to be paying off .
And the J Rich trade was a home run .
With that said we have very little wiggle room to inprove from hear. If we resign Felton i doubt we even try to use our MLE next season .
The only other additions we have will be draft picks. In my openion not thats not near enough to get us DEEP in the playoffs.

DJ, Vlad, Martin, Raja, Diaw, even Lil Sean can be considered 3pt threats. I like the fact we run plays now to get people open for those shots. Okafor has a double double in half the games he's play'd this year and has shown a great improvement on the offensive side. I don't see a reason to trade him after going though so much in the offseason to resign him. I'll agree we do need a "bigger" Big to handle the Yao's, Shaq's and maybe Howards of the league. Right now we dont have a for sure SG back up...Martin and Felton have been switching out but i'm sure in the offseason we'll address that problem. We spent alot of money this year getting the players we have now. I think dropping Fat Sean, Nazr, maybe Diop will open the door to pick up someone. I'm not sure about Felton anymore. I still have my problems with him but He does play hard and even though He's not a SG , He and DJ work well together when they are on the court.

I think thats our problem . We don't have many tradable pieces . I can't see any one trading for Nazz , or Diop with those large contracts. I don't think it's any way we offer Shan any thing . He should be gone next season . Still we have very little wiggle room.
As far as Felton is concerned we should have traded him if we not planing on resigning him. All value is lost if we let him walk. At the same time we can't afford to offer him the world in a contract.
Thoughts on Felts value 7 to 8 milion a year tops . not to excede 42 milion

We could compete for a championship down the road if we got the right seeding. The only team we can't run with in the East is Cleveland, and the only team we cant in the west is houston maybe?? We matchup well with Boston, Orlando (if we show up), LA, SAS, etc.

We just need a big big and a backup 2...AI!!!
