Bill Simmons is a stooge, but this is one of the best pieces I have read from him. Very well thought out, if not a bit dramatic...

I read it earlier, he was dead on, if he's right we make him a Saint, if he's wrong he's just BS. I especially liked #3, coming from him as a Celtics fan

Bojangles Friday Feast (http://www.nba.com/bobcats/09_friday_feast.html) (Bobcats): All you can eat in the upper bowl (chicken, hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn) for just $35. Or, as it's also called, the Joe House Special.

Risk of Diabetes Hypertension Heart Disease Stroke be damned, this sounds like heaven!

He nailed #3. It's mind blowing how inconsistent the refs can be. Stern needs to implement a rule against "superstar calls" also known as the D-Wade call. Stop crab dribbles now!

Why would Stern do it? He runs the No Balls Association :p

Well, because he should, that's why, but you're right, he'll never do it. He's done a lot for the league in terms of marketing and making it a viable business, which is why he probably prefers that those players who are "basketball rich" just get richer.

He probably hates Larry Brown and Gregg Popovich for making basketball "boring"

Yeah, the Detroit-San Antonio finals was his worst nightmare.
