I didn't see one posted or see anyone talking about him, so I thought I would bring up his name. For where we are probably going to draft, I think he would be a great pick. He can absolutely fill a need a SG plus he can play a little SF if needed. Discuss...

last year he wouldve been in the lottery. This year he's suffering from a lesser case of Psycho T Syndrome. He'll be picked in the second half of the 1st round. It's a shame too because he's a pretty good player

Amazing fall from grace for this kid. He really was looking at the tail end of the lottery this past draft. But there are Mocks that have him going now at the tail of the 1st or many project him as a 2nd rounder now. One of the few times a kid chooses to stay in school and ends up costing himself millions of $ even tho he wasn't injured.

I'm not a big fan of his at all. To me he's one of those "he has all the tools but will never really amount to anything" type players. He's pretty bad on D too.

I will say that ever since he got his face stepped on that he has been playing with a little more vigor - which is good to see because I always thought he was pretty soft.

To me, he's best case someone like JR Smith but more likely someone like Rasual Butler.

That is who i see this guy being. Not a bad thing, Rasual once dropped 45 points. Give either of them the ball and they can score. If we got him in the 2nd round i would be happy.

No doubt as a 2nd round pick he would be a great pick up. In saying that, if guys like Terence Williams, Dionte Christmas or Jodie Meeks are still there when we are picking in the 2nd round, I would take them in front of Chase.

You think Terence will be their? That guy is gonna be a really really great NBA player.

His poor shooting and age might play against him. I really like him, but he is a role player in the NBA so I think he'll be a late 1st and depending on who is in and who is out of the draft, could slip to the (very early) 2nd round.

Just like Chase.

I like Budinger...his D needs to improve, but I think he could be a guy that Larry Brown likes...I also think Budinger needs to reap the benefits of having a coach who teaches and preaches defense like Larry Brown on his side to succeed...if he can learn defense I think he can be a good playing in the NBA and come off the bench the first year or so until Bell either leaves through FA or someone is traded...

I like Gerald Henderson more of course mainly because of his defense, but I wouldn't be upset with Budinger on my team...His second half of his season was much better than his first, and he just kept getting better as the time went on...He's a better free throw shooter than Henderson and shoots just 1% less than what Henderson does from the floor...he also shoots almost 6% better at the arc...he's expected to be around the last few spots of the lottery into the middle of first round pick...

New issue of ESPN the Magazine in today. A Mock with selections by a player on the team. For Charlotte, Ray Felton picks Chase Budinger! WTF Ray???

Poor shot selection = Poor draft selection?

He is athletic and a very good shooter...problem is (at best) he will never be better than an average NBA defender...suppose to be a good person...spreads the floor...it is too bad he has just "tried to ride" his offensive talent and has not developed a more well rounded game...with all that said it was through no fault of his that Arizona has had such a "circus" with the coaches....I don't know how much that stunted him as a player but had to some IMO...

Draft net compares him to G Rice and B Barry
Draft net shows he has more abilitys than T Williams. I would love to be able to package our two second rounders and land this guy. Late first round.
I would be very happy if we ended up with some one like Clark and Budlinger

On a side note i have a feeling Derozan is going to be around at twelve . If he is we better scope him up . I have a feeling he's the BEST player in the draft. Im saying he has more abilitys than any one this year. The kid will be a ALL STAR..,.

I would even give up our second rounders to get him. Hes going to make Henderson , Williams, look bad by the end of next season. And i think both Henderson and Williams will both be solid contributors.
