One and a half games out , Bonnell says this is a mackover like the Pistons , or Nets we just not as deep.

1st I think Brown leads us to the 7th or eight seeded .
2nd I think Brown is the main reason the team has inproved .
Do you see Brown taking us to the playoffs??
Is he the main reason behind our inprovment??
Can we be as good as that Pistons team long term
or even as good as that Nets team????

I too think LB is da man, ILBIT!
LB is the sole reason along with the trades that this team is much better.
I think its a little early to say are we as good as the Detroit team or the Nets team. I do think we are good in our right though...

it still funny to think that in the preseason when we lost all our games , people were bashing on LB..going as far as saying that he lost it.. or that the only reason that he ever won in Detroit was because Dumars didn't let him have his ways.

I guess when now know that LB really hasn't lost it...and that the Knicks job was an abherration..considering that Marbury was a problem maker and that LB didnt get the support needed from management

Knicks was a disaster before and after he got there, not because of him

As long as he sticks around here, we may end up in the finals in a year or so

Thats my hope anyway, ILBIT 110%

I remember making a Pistons analogy before with the roster change up.

Felton, like Billups was waiting for a coach to come give him coaching stability at the pg slot. Chauncey had been moved around and was more shoot first than Felton and had a reputation around it. Both were solid size guys and good defenders, with Chauncey being bigger and a better defender there. Chauncey was a better 3 pt shooter while Felton is a better penetrator.

Raja defintely can fit the Rip mode while being a better defender, but not quite the same off the ball mover and dead eye shooter. He has more range than Rip however, but isn't as automatic on the curl.

Gerald definitely can fit the Tayshaun role as the long athletic defender. Gerald is more explosive while Tayshaun is more of a smooth player. Gerald is a better off the ball defender while Tayshaun has been better on the ball.

Diaw is the PF who was not happy with his current situation who brings skill and a high BB IQ similar to Sheed. He's not as good a defender as Sheed, but is a better passer.

Mek is like Ben Wallace, but better offensively. I don't know that he is quite as defensively dominant as Ben IN HIS PRIME, but he ain't far off.

The big thing for us the depth on the bench, especially in terms of frontcourt scoring depth and a big guard. The Pistons could bring Okur off the bench and pair him with Elden Campbell. While Gana could fill a Campbell role, the closest thing to Okur we would have his Vlad. Ultimately, however, we need that big guard who can play point like Mike James did for them. DJ is that Lindsay Hunter sparkplug as an offensive guy, but not the defender Lindsay was.

Ultimately, our continued growth and chemistry defensively (helping each other and being able to trust each other in rotations) will mean as much to our success as offensively. I think that we have upgraded our skill players to the point that we will continue to grow offensively as a unit. When we can put players in and out and have little defensive dropoff, that will key our total success.

Brown is without a doubt the reason that we are going to the playoffs and if he stays for his full 4 year contract we will be a good team for the long term as well.
