Golden State Warriors' Message to Jamal Crawford: Please Opt Out
---Earlier this week, Warriors coach Don Nelson announced that he will be resting his veterans in an effort to give the team's youngsters more playing time
However, Nelson isn't sitting team captain, Steven Jackson. His veteran leadership will help to keep the younger players in check, as well as build team chemistry.
Jamal Crawford is not getting the same treatment as Captain Jack.

I think this would be a decent option for shooting guard. Crawford has played under Coach Brown and they supposedly have a decent relationship. The only concern is taking on his big contract. The question is if he opts out of his contract..do you guys think that the Bobcats should pick him up??:g:

i would not mind him but it's only because our options at sg are limited on a young player and/or draftee. i hope we make the playoffs, but if we do, we will surrender our 1st round pick. so there goes a rookie sg. as for the free agency class, crawford is at the top of the shooting guard list, so i wouldn't mind him. he will be 29, and looking to make some serious change, which we don't really have unless we lose nazr and may. as for crawford himself, he sometimes can be a chucker, though he does shoot well and is about as clutch as there is at the position. i think one of the reasons why we have improved so much was due to the injection of veteran leadership to mesh with all of the youth we had. he would bring that, though between he and bell, we wouldn't necessarily have any spring chickens at the 2.

If he opts out he's going to be expecting some money, and I'm not willing to give that to him.

That's the guy I want...but we don't have the money for him either.

If we resign felton, then have a choice between J-Creezy and Iverson, i want Jamal simply because he is younger. But i have a feeling that Jamal will be going up to Detroit this summer, he can be a 6th man their/split minutes with Rip.

Jamal crawford would be perfect 4 the cats. I've always liked him, and when the felton rumors were swirling i woulda loved to get him (but realize prolly wouldnt have happened due to him already being trading). But i would rather have crawford over AI in a heart beat. AI just messed things up in detroit and i feel he would do the same here. idk if we'd even be able to get him due to cash but a true scoring shooter who lit us up for 50 i would take any day. im sure he wouldnt ball hog (unlike AI) and brown would be able to nicely fit him in. Plus raja isnt getting any younger, and i wonder if we will keep him once his 2 yrs are up.

Counting AI's time in Detroit against him is like doing the same for Pheonix's under T. Porter and ours under FHB.

I doubt we could get Crawford to come, but if we could I would most certainly take him, just as I would AI

I have said this before. Crawford would fit perfect with us. This would allow DJ to have another pg on the floor with him which makes him more comfortable. To get him we would have to get rid of Nazr.

There will be takers for Nazr. If you look at it Atlanta and Portland could use him right now being that they are short handed on the front court. The Hawks could put him at the 5 and move Hortford to the 4 because I see problems with them and J Smith. Portland could use him because Oden in ways has been just as band of a pick as Sean May. Oden went #1 and May went #13
