Ok guys, I figured I had to share my recent experiences with y'all. Hopefully I get a pass as to why I haven't been contributing much lately.
As some of the more regular guys may know, I've been extremely sick over the past week or so. In the last few days I've finally been able to get over it and I'm only feeling the last effects of the sickness.
On Friday, I finally received my letter of acceptance from the University of South Carolina, officially making me a Cock ;). That was without a doubt the biggest weight off of my shoulders as UNC and Furman were both way out of my price range. I finally have my future education squared away.
With that, my soccer team has been taking part in a tournament since Friday. Today we took part in the Championship game... and we won! :biggrin:
In doing so, we beat a team that we've apparently only beaten twice in the past 13 years.
Now for the real part of the story. Last night, we were playing for our spot in the Championship game. Just before halftime I was trying to win the ball in the air and collided with someone from the other team doing the same. It turns out that I had split my head open and I had to go to the Hospital after the game. I ended up getting 5 staples in my head and didn't get home until 3 A.M. this morning.
We had to go back to play in the final game today at 12 so I wrapped my head in gauze and sports tape and was allowed to play. Our whole team was pumped up and we won 2-0! I also happened to be smacked in the face today and I have a little bit of a black eye, but it's alllright! :cool:
We still have another day to this weekend, so let's see how things end up.
