I think the guys will be ready tonight. This night, if everything goes well, can be historic. We can be sitting in the 8th Playoff Spot with only a few weeks to go. They let it slip away in San Antonio. They must redeem themselves at home and protect their house! Victory.

So I am thinking LB should start Diop tonight and match him up to Yao, let Diop know he has 6 fouls to give up and he should get aggressive. Then once Yao has been sufficiently pushed around send in a fresh Oak. At 7 foot 300+ lbs Diop needs to start being the enforcer we need him to be.
If you see a large man with twin, red headed two and a half year old, sons walking around the area tonight, that me taking my sons to thier first NBA game. Feel free to say HI!
p.s. The 42-24, 3rd in the west, Rockets are only being picked by 1 point over our lowly Cats. Forget media respect, we have earned the respect of the guys who have hard cash on this stuff.

I think my presence at this game will give the guys the confidence and agressiveness they need to soundly beat the Rockets tonight. I'll try to be humble about my contributions to the team's success when the game's over, but I make no promises.A win tonight would be clutch! The Spurs game didn't hurt us because of other teams' losses, but a win could put us on top of the 8-13th place heap.Go Bobcats!

Welcome! Post often, and if you need anything, let us know. The wiki has answers to a lot of questions, though.
We really need a win tonight, and if we guard Artest and Felton hits his J then we should be fine.

is this a must win? I want and think we can win every game. Houston smoked us at their place. I'm not scared of Yao, or Artest, i just don't want Battier or Skip to have a good game and i think that will work in our way.
He's in Orlando now right? Whatever, whoever they have i don't want them to have a good game and I agree that we need to beat the hell out of Yao but he's 7'6" and what like 400?

Artest always gives Crash pure hell. He's got to bring his "A" game tonight as well as Mek or we'll get smoked again.
BTW, I don't think this is a "must" win, but it would be so sweet to get it. Houston is a top contender, so a win even at home shouldn't be automatically expected.

Something else that concerns me about Artest tonight is the fact that he got bent over pretty soundly by Kobe in his last game, so he may come out tonight with something to prove.

Yes, we missed a lot of shots. Yes, that hurts us down the strech and it worries me. But, had the officials called a fair game, we would have won. That's that, and if you can't see that, then I don't know what to say. The refs were AWFUL. They made ballwhore look welcome in the Charlotte area

Listen, I was there, and trust me there were AT LEAST 4 fouls against us shooting that were not called, and the last possession that ball was out on the rockets and that was dirty.
I will say though, the crowd was thinner than I'd like on a Friday night game against a major contender while we are pushing for the playoffs, but it was a good LOUD crowd and their chants of "DEFENSE" during the 4th quarter are what helped us get the many stops and steals that we got.

Mostly I think the Bobcats played with a lot of heart and once again nearly beat one of the NBA's best teams. LB has this team playing at optimum performance and is squeezing out every bit of talent he can. We're very, very close. A win tonight would have been amazing, but it just wasn't the night.
If you're terribly worried about the Cats making the playoffs, don't forget we're competing with the Indiana Pacers, New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, and Milwaukee Bucks; none of whom have been playing worth a crap. That's all we have to beat out for the 8th spot. Honestly, its going to be difficult to not make the playoffs, so long as we stay injury-free and play with the skills we've been showing.
On this night, Felton and Bell took too many shots as Diaw removed himself from the game with pretty weak early fouls. We needed Diaw in the game. Okafor played great virtually on his own against the Rockets intense front line of Yao, Scola and Battier; but he put so much into defense and getting offensive position that he (maddeningly) forced his inside shots badly, banging most of them off the rim. Like the Cats; Okafor is so close to being a force, that it can drive you a little crazy to watch.
Still the Rockets had to make two crazy threes to pull this out; one a pure Battier dagger, the other a lucky Yao chuck.
We need Diaw on the court with Ray and Raja for maximum effectiveness. It seems when one of them is on the bench, especially for an extended time; the flow gets a little strained. It's not always that big a deal. But against a team like the Rockets; it can be the difference.

Excuses excuses excuses.
You act as though we didnt have some splendid un-called fouls of our own, some even resulted in Houston turnovers.
That is the worst basketball i have seen any team play this year, and i am not talking about us, i am speaking of Houston. THEY GAVE US THIS GAME IN THE 4TH QUARTER. Had we played even somewhat decently, we would have won. But instead, for the entire 2nd half Raymond Felton was CON-FU-SE-D. We played even worse than the worst, which made our playing level ultra-worse. I cannot believe the same team i watch, the same team i love, can play so great some nights, and then just trash it up until its basically too late to really lay down a claim and win the game.
In the words of the great Charles Barkley "Just turrible" OR Ben Wallace "A shamockery". I am embarrsed we lost this game. We should have won. Luck and terrible play had other plans.

What game were you watching?

What I saw was decent defense and alot of foul calls and some bad calls on both sides.... I also saw a lot of choked shots in the 2nd half.... defense kept us in the game but bad shooting lost us the game.... We choked plain and simple....
