Well, I got two SG prospects that should be really good additions to the Bobcats roster if they enter the draft. Greivis Vasquez (PG/SG) of Maryland and Toney Douglas (SG/PG) of Florida State. Vasquez is a combo guard that fills the state sheet. I saw him play on Friday (ACC Tournament) and he looks really good. He comes off screens very well with the ability to shoot and pass the ball. He rebounds well for PG/SG. He is not an incredible athlete but has a high basketball IQ and could be that big PG/SG that LB wants at 6’6”. Toney Douglas is just what you want in a SG. He plays both ends of the court and has NBA 3 point range. Florida State would not be in the tournament if it was for him. He is the best SG in the ACC in my opinion. He lacks size at 6’2” but has all the ability in the world to play at the next level. Both of these players would be good pickups if they enter the draft. They are not first round picks but as the get more tournament attention you will see their stock rise on many draft boards.

Greivis Vasquez: 17 ppg 5 apg 5 rpg
Toney Douglas: 20 ppg 3 apg 4 rpg

Vasquez is playing right now against Duke and is their only playmaker, and Douglas beat UNC singlehandledly earlier today. Two very good players.

I like Vasquez's game, but I hate his attitude. I'd like having him on the team but he'd be our 3rd PG as he's not the best defender or shooter so he wouldn't be a SG.

Toney Douglas is pure points, nothing else. He's the only guy on their team that averages double digit points, but he doesn't get many assists or rebounds. I'd like to have him as a spark off the bench but that's about it.

I don't see Vasquez as a PG at all. He's a pretty good shooter, he just takes weird shots like Kevin Martin. I don't know much about his attitude, so what all are you talking about there.

Douglas isn't supposed to get rebounds or assists, either. He's the potent guy in their lineup, and they have two beasts inside who catch anything that comes their way, so he isn't going to fight for rebounds. As far as assists, he averages 3 per game, which isn't awful for a shooting guard who is a scorer anyways. Not good, but thats what LB's for.

Vasquez talks too much shit. He doesn't have respect for anybody. He even gets in fights with Maryland fans because of his attitude. He's a 40% FG, 30% 3PT shooter--nothing to write home about.

As for Douglas. I don't care how much you score and I don't care if you have "beasts" down low. You crash the boards unless you're the defender staying back. He doesn't get an exemption because he scores points. That's why I would have him as a bench spark
