Hi all, I'm in Raleigh and heading out Monday for my first ever Bobcats game in person. I bought a ticket via ticketmaster and it includes a Lynx Rail round trip pass...since I am coming from Raleigh I would like to park at one of the park and rides. Which one would you guys recommend me going to? Also, is Lynx a good means to get to the game? I hear that parking is a nightmare.

I look forward to your responses and I look forward to talking Cats basketball with you!

Tony

I have never used Lynx, so I can't help you there.

But I have NEVER had problems parking/travel and in the future I would do that, its cheaper isn't it?

You could park at New Bern or Tyvola Station off Rt. 77 or something and take a few stops up. There's a complete list of stations on the Lynx website. I've taken it a couple times but only from the 485 stop as I live over in Southeast Charlotte.

Parking isn't that bad, IMO. But I came from the northeast so going to the arenas in Philly, NJ, Boston is a major pain in the ass (unless you use public transportation). The Biscuit and traffic in the Queen City is a joke. Just grab a beer or something after the game for 20 minutes and the place clears out. I usually park over on 4th across from the bus terminal for $5.

If i were taking Lynx I'd probably park at the Pineville terminal (farthest south) and come up, but there are many other easy to access stations.

That said, I park at the EpiCenter across Trade street from the arena (next to the bus terminal). Its very easy to cross the street with police doing traffic, and when the game is over you can exit out the front onto trade (not so easy) or out the back onto 4th street. Also, be aware, this garage switches to "Event Rate $10" about 2 hours prior to tip...if your there before then you can take a ticket (to pay as you leave) and then leave with the crowd after the game when they just basically let everyone leave no questions asked.

Best of luck to you.

You will be very, very, very happy with that seat. I sat in sec. 112 last game, but I was in row F...not that F is bad, but A5 is freaking awesome...how did you get that??? Take some pictures for us!

Well since I am traveling alone I only needed one ticket. I got it off of Ticketmaster and yes, I will be bringing a camera!
