Charlotte Bobcats at Washington Wizards 3/25

It sucks to be the Washington Wizards.

The have lost 11 out of 13 games in the month of March with their only wins coming against the equally horrible Sacramento Kings at home and the Minnesota T-Wolves on the road.
The Wizards will be without Agent Zero again tonight. Caron Butler has been out since 3/13 with a thigh issue and lets hope that he misses tonight's game too, because he has ripped up the Bobcats in the past.

There is absolutely positively NO EXCUSE for losing tonight. With the Wizards' injuries, they are basically Antowain Jamison and 4 dudes from the Park and Rec league.

2 things the Bobcats are going for tonight: a first in franchise history 4 game season sweep and a rebound from a horrible, horrible loss Saturday night. I've never been more disillusioned walking out of an arena and i've nevre left before the 4th quarter started. it was the worst i've ever felt about this team. We can't dwell on that, we can only move on. One way or the other and i hope they choose to put a beatdown on the poor Wiz.

It's very disappointing but everything was not so bad this season..

But with Minnesota & Pacers games we saw the limits of our actual team, and today it was confirmed against a very bad Wizards team. When you're 20 up... you can't even think to lose the game...
I guess next season will be much intresting. Make it possible for the playoffs was also a great effort since the Bell-Diaw trade, after the bad beginning of the season. Now let's imagine a brand new start with this team.

Finding a way to get rid of Nazr and May...Getting Ajinca back, Getting a back up for Raja would be nice. Vladi, I can live with paying big money to, He has his moments. Giving DJ more minutes would also be helpful. And having another year with LB there has to be an improvement

Diaw is great but our team is starting to rely too much on him. Seems every time he is doubled, we look lost. I would LOVE to put Bell on the bench for rest of the season, but we really have no alternatives.

I said it a month ago, as Bell's shot goes so does the team. He has been HORRIBLE on the offensive side for most of the month.

In the offseason we need a real scoring 2 with Bell as a reserve to come in and D up, he spends so much energy on D his shot is toast and we need at least one powerful presence down low. I have beat my thoughts about Okafor to death so i am not going to bother to repeat them again

Without these moves we will be a low seed 1st rnd playoff team at best. As teams have actually been scouting us we are being exposed so don't assume this lineup can win a lot next year. We generally beat up on lottery teams and get our ass handed to us by top tier teams (A FEW exceptions), now we are even getting beaten by trash

Teej: I completely agree. This team is shutting down. 3 days off and we come out gangbusters for a 20 point lead, but then completely turn off mentally and lose focus. Still they almost pulled it out, but that killer instinct just wasn't there...i.e. missed free throws...sloppy play to the last shot.

I've been worried thought we'd blow thru this one and then suffer on Fri/Sats games; but we didn't even get that far.

The Cats have done as much as they can this season and are mentally shutting down. The body follows the brain.

BTW Crash played every minute of the 1st half and then started the 2nd. He was pretty useless after the 1st half. We have to go to the bench earlier than we do; not sure what LB is thinking with that; though Diop, Martin, Howard and surely May can be kind of useless at times. Diop sure was tonight and Martin not much better.

Sigh...sort of nice season; but there's a looonnngg way to go. Very, very unhappy with the starter's lack of will at the end. Can this group overcome that next year? Or do we need new blood? Tough times.

I was at tonight's game against the Wizards.(You might have seen me if you were watching. The only guy in the lower level in a Bobcats jersey. Behind the bench)

We played fantastic in the first quarter. Gerald seemed strong and we couldn't miss.

In the second quarter we flattened out a little bit. DJ made some shots, Gerald made a few free throws, control was still remaining.

They made a nice run right before the half. (Thanks Jamison for being unable to miss there for a handfull of minutes)



I still felt confident at the break. We came out cold. We missed every open shot, and Gerald got a look in his eye. I commented to my friend, "GWall looks in pain". It was not minutes later that GWall came out and stayed out until the 2:30 mark of the 4th quarter. He looked miserable on the bench. He cringed. He jeered. I knew it was an uphill battle.

Still we came back. And so did Gerald. He then missed both free throws on a drive to the hoop. He looked in pain after.

We proceeded to have a few referee non-calls (which, from sitting right there, looked like shooting fouls. I swear to it)

And that was it. Just another loss. But I refuse to let this ruin me. I do not believe we're out of the race because of this loss. We just killed our room for error, sure, but our guys have the talent to do it. I am not giving up.

Many efforts have been done now, some smart trades, good teamwork, and the team is (was?) not far from playoffs. It's not bad after a bad start, isn't it?

Now we know it's too late for playoffs but this season is not so bad. People started respect our team, a national tv game and lot of consideration from important persons in NBA.
I really believe in this team for the future, considering a good draft pick.
I just hope everyone is going to stay here.

I'm 100% for the bobcats, but I think we need to put it on hard for a few of the games, like the Lakers and certainly the closer at the magic, but I think it would be in the team's best interest to look well past the playoffs at the off season, draft, training camp, and next season.

There is something odd in the fact that we can beat the Celtics while they were still strong, beat the Laker's at their house with what seemed like an eternity without wallace after the injury, and yet we cant beat the wizards playing with 8 players. I love these guys, but something is just not clicking right.
