We had a few bad minutes where we gave up our killer lead, but deserving to lose is far from fact... We played VERY HARD especially at the end, and had the call under the basket with less than a minute to go been called against Miami as it should have, instead of a loose ball foul on Okafor, we would have done the deed (likely in OT).

I didn't say it was a perfectly called game, i said well called and it was

You cannot leave a game in an officials hand, when you are up like 18-4 or whatever it was you need to be able to just finish out the game.

it inot like it is the first time (or 5th for that matter) that we have came out blazing and put a nice lead up there only to give it away. It is not the refs fault we do that. Look at the last Atlanta Home game or the Wizards road loss or last night, etc etc etc

I lvoe the team and had a ball last night but we really are still medicore at best. Hopefully int he offseason larry will continue to push Diaw to yes continue to distrubute the ball beautifully but also put it in the hoops (he has said he has a hard time getting Diaw to do this) and also get us a solid SG to either Backup bell or allow Bell to come off the bench and be a defensive monster and still have legs to hit shots. We know Okafor is not going anywhere and i have given up on that as it will be easier to get help athe 2 spot then improve at the 4 and 5

Lets go cats, i hope we keep fighting strong until the end playoffs or not

You sir (being at the game) did not have the benefit of replay. There were bad calls on us and there were calls against them that wernt called. I dont care what you think you saw, I saw it, the announcers saw it, and the replays proved it.

I agree with Robert, the Bobcats should've been able to shoot 100% for the game and for them to not maintain that pace is clearly a failing on their behalf. They deserved to lose.

I hear you guys and certainly respect the guys opinions who were actually at the game but from my vantage point (my living room), there was very little respect given to the Bobcats players by the officials, especially in the 4Q.

The foul called on Emeka's block on Magloire in the 4Q was pitiful. The ref that called it was basically at half court and the other 2 guys, who clearly had better views, didn't blow the whistle. Weak call. There were several other examples.

The Heat went to the line twice as often as we did for the game and we didn't have a free throw attempt in the last quarter. No attempts in the last quarter and we weren't even in the penalty. Miami actually had a foul to give late in the game. The way we were driving to the basket, that is unacceptable.

I'm not saying we couldn't have done a lot of things better and kept this game out of the officials hands. I'm simply saying that we got little to no respect from the officials last night. We should be used to it by now though...

The officiating in the NBA is a joke, i am not denying that. Having said that it is not as huge a role in our games MOST times (Note i said most, not all) as we make it out to be. I did not see wade get a lot of start calls and i think the refs called an even game.

I also watch all the road games on TV so i do get to see replays.

Lets focus on earning respect around the league but closing and winning games we have in our hands No one can here factually tell me we do not have a pattern of building up early game leads to fritter them away in the 2nd (and A LOT) of times Q3 and then end up losing.

The lakers game Tuesday was one game where we really did close the show. We gave the game to the celtic, we gave last night to the heat, and we gave last week to the Wizards.

I actually can live with us just having an off night like we did when the Pacers kicked our asses two weeks. I cannot accept just blaming the refs when we have a game in hand and then throw it away and i just gave three example of that that have happened in the last 10 days or so

All Im saying is when we do get ourselves in the position to let the refs determine the game, whats called a foul on one team should be called a foul on the other team. It isnt fair that just because a player is a "star" that they get special consideration or treatment. I do agree that we got ourselves into this position, that part was nothing to do with the refs.

Heat 16 FT attempts in the 4th, including their last 7 points at the FT line (some intentional), Bobcats 0 FTs in the fourth.

Wade attempted more FTs than the Bobcats did in the 2OT game against Boston.

Margins of error are small for 90% of the teams in the NBA and such glaring differences are tough to overcome.

Having a lead after 1 quarter is never having a game in hand. The Heat had half their turnovers in that quarter and their worst shooting quarter to boot. Paired with the Bobcats shooting incredibly well, it's to be expected that over the course of the game those things were going to even out. This wasn't a lead that the team frittered away (although that has been an issue, I agree).

For the record since I apparently need to justify my ability to comment: Watched on TV, played ball in high school, and coached a team of blind, one-armed kids to the championship game in the local 8-9 year old Y league.

we shot 7 free throws in a 2 Overtime game. 7!!!! 1 hour... 7 fouls. Thats virtually impossible for any other team to achieve.

you can say the refs dont have any blame and we need to close games out. but how can you close out games when your not allowed to play ball. For Miami to close out games they have to attack the basket and wait for the call....because it is inevitably coming. For Charlotte to close out a game they have to play perfect basketball in every facet and its just not possible. Lasalle has it right. If we have one ounce of respect we win the Celtics game and the Heat game. Maybe next year... i guess, but I'm not holding my breath.

Look i can handle a bad call. Its impossible for 3 mortal men to see everything that happens in a fast pace basketball game correctly. I get that and I try not to complain about it.

What i cannot handle is referees dictating games. We have 90 year old Dick Bavetta, practically putting on a broadway show to display a foul, dancing and gyrating does nothing but call attention to you and away from the game. A week ago or more you had an official taunting Doc Rivers into a technical. Literally daring him to speak so he could throw him out. You have make up calls that come conveniently after a coach or player pleads his case about a previous bad call or non call. I think this is a serious issue thats driven a lot of people away from the pro game.

In the NBA heyday, you had brutal games when teams were allowed to play. Downlow you could have Charles Oakley velcroing himself to your chest hair and the refs would let it play out. Barkley could yank you down from trying to rebound by your headband and the refs would say play on. and by god...basketball was great.
Players enforced retribution instead of begging and whining to the ref to fix it next time. The refs did what they were supposed to and stayed the hell out of the way... ESPECIALLY in crunch times. Now a days... when Dwade goes up to shoot, the ref blows the whistle before his shoe comes off the court, in anticipation of the slight touch of a defenders hand on Wades fingernail. Its just horrible to watch from a neutral view point. Jersey sales should have no bearing on a basketball game. If Okafor swats Wades shot the exact same way that Haslem swats Feltons shot... who do you think is getting the call, and who do you think is getting frustrated?

The Bobcats have no star power. We have a small market. We have sold out maybe 5-10 games in our existence. We havent made the playoffs. To the NBA we are nothing but a drama building road bump on the way to the marketing success of a bigger market - star ridden team. No respect. No Respect At All.

You should send your post to the league office. I mean whats the point in having a team at all if all thats going to happen is get railroaded by the league so the big market teams can win and look good.. And I did love Rodney Dangerfield, poor ole guy never got any respect...:p
