New Bobcats Jersey Design

Hey guys. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have thought about this, but I am pretty sure that we are redesigning our Jerseys for next season. Theres no way that they would just sell $190 jerseys for 40 dollars or be giving huge discounts on jerseys every night (and even on NBA.com... I believe last I saw it was at least 50% off on ALL Bobcats Jerseys. Now I could understand maybe 20% off for the playoff push and gaining new fans and whatever, but obviously lately all the deals of the night and crap have been much more than twenty percent off (as far as jerseys are concerned). I was skeptical of it until the Lakers game. Then I was certain that we are redesigning. If this is the case, which I'm probably 95 percent sure that it is, then maybe they will release what the new jerseys will look like tomorrow night. I think that would be a really cool end to a decent year and a great beginning for the promising season to come. GO BOBCATS!!!!

I know they had a lot of leftover Reebok Felton jerseys, hence the $20 special for the swingman jerseys frequently this season... but I agree something may be cooking. The Miami game they ran ALL replica jerseys for $15, that's like 80% off. Most the replicas they have left are traded players, so them being cheap is the norm... but I'm amazed that they've dropped the pricing so low on the others.

I picked up several Authentic Jersery's for $40 a pop at the lakers game. I will probably sell a few on ebay for $60ish or just keep them. The white ones are very nice.

Those replica jerseys SUCK - i cannot even wear one as they hurt your skin where the ink has bled thru

I also noticed the Swingman Jerseys (I have 3 of those) Don't wash well at all, even in just cold water and hang dry the orange in the word bobcats and the number on the back fades

I think they are selling them cheap because the team will be moved to Seattle over the summer.

A girl in the team store told me they are getting new jerseys next year.

This is just a rumour, so don't shoot me if it doesn't happen, but that's what she told me.

My guess is they are moving over to the Jumpman line with Nike. (Jordan brand).

Remember about 2 seasons ago before Crash signed his contract...right around the last game of the season...they put his jersey on sale for like 20 bucks. We were all worried that it "meant something" and they were dumping his jersey.

Very glad I snatched one up...I've been getting a lot of miles out of it lately!

During the Miami game, Steve Martin said the "green" jersey's were going to be like the new one's we will have next year. I'm assuming the way Charlotte is written on the front. I think they will look great. I can't wait. I'm sure we'll see soon enough.

The green jerseys were just for the NBA's "Green" week. Trying to promote recycling and all that good stuff. I don't think our colors are changing.

I thought changes to jersey designs had to be submitted well in advance of them changing - like 1 1/2-2 years in advance sort of thing.

If that was the case I would have thought we'd have heard about it now - like we already know they wont be using the orange next season.

Oh hell no, I hate anything green except nature and my vegetables, I didnt like the green week uni's, looked too much like the Celtics or Milwaukee to me...:cool:

The Cougars wore green and it would've been tremendous if the team would've rocked them as a double dip (retro and green week) promotion, especially since it's the 40th anniversary of the Cougars first season.

I know that the last year for the Orange road jerseys was 08-09. Blue will be the road jersey going forward.

I think the teams in the NBA have to keep a certain style for 4 or 5 seasons before changing. That means we are due.

I am good with the jerseys we have though, no change needed. I like the new Cat logo though.

I have to admit I like the Orange road jerseys over the blue alternates. My only thing i would consider changing is the lettering. Have the lettering like they do on the warmups and the "green" jerseys. If anythings gonna happen thats probably it. Keep the New cat logo because that is arguably one of the best in the NBA.

yeah, it looks kinda like a cheapo copy of the Panthers

not as bad as the new Detriot Lions logo though

I have seen Detroit Lions fans own special made Logo designs that were much better than what was ultimately chosen for their team though. Still, the old Lions logo had no personality. As far as the Panthers logo, I think it is a pretty cool logo. I can see why a team would want to copy such a great design. The only Panthers Logo I have seen that was better was the original design of the old USFL's Michigan Panthers. The only thing missing from that logo was them not making the Panthers teeth white.

I hope they minimize the use of orange and change the script completely. I feel this would give us less of an AAU team-look, lol.
