Although this team frustrates the hell out of me a lot of times I want to thank them for a good 2nd half of the season and for making Winter something to look forward to again.

My wife and i moved to Lake Norman in October of 07 and i knew nothing of the Bobcats thru the whole winter and while we tried to sell our house in Atlanta and were stuck in an apartment in Cornelius and i cursed winter as we were bored senseless. When we moved to our house on the lake in Denver in April of 08 we loved the summer and fall and were so down when winter came and we put the boat away.

We decided to go to a Bobcats game a day or two after Christmas this past winter and saw them claw back from over 20 pts down to get it within 3 and to lose close to the Pistons and I have not missed a home game since except for 3/28 when my first child was born. I have spent more money and time than i care to recall on the team since then but i don't care it was all worth it

Thru that time The Bobcats have Made winter something to now look forward to as long as we live here. I have already paid for my season tickets in the lower bowl for next year and had a ball at the season home Finale tonight.

This team still has a lot of issues that i write dissertations about in other threads but at the end of the day they have restored my love for basketball, a game that was a huge part of my life playing it thru HS and College. Now at 32 I have that spark again for the first time about basketball in about 9 years.

Anyway I am rambling but just want to say Let's go cats and I am looking forward to an awesome 09-10 season with my less than 1 year old son at every game. I hope to get to meet some of you at the games next year.

Go Cats
Robert

Well said!

Best season so far! We're finally coming along and we're a blast to watch! The 2nd half gave us all a taste of what's to come next year and I've never been so excited to be a Bobcats' fan. We have a great group who I think honestly like each other, and the sky's the limit.

I can't frigging wait for next season already!

I'm going to wait until we're mathematically eliminated before I think about next season...to quote "anything is possible"...at least until it is impossible...I'm just irritated that the last 5-6 games have not all been played with this sense of urgency...it was a good W against a talented team that is going to the playoffs but it would be better if we controlled our own fate but we don't...sad (for me) tho think we might W out the last five games and still not make it...

Slam I hope you are wrong (but in my heart know you are correct)...but not nearly as long as the one after FHB...that was just anguish...

Good thread, I would like to thank them too as a new fan. It's a very attractive team with great players. They look very happy to play together and it's pleasant to see.
I must admit that if Boris was not traded here I would not intresting me much in this team but now I'm a 'Cats fan and I'm proud to show it, here in France.
I expect so much from this team for the next season, but I really think they can do it for the playoffs.

For the end of this season I hope they'll play without pressure and do how they all can do, I mean great basketball.

I hope one day I'll can see a game in this great TWC Arena.
Let's go 'Cats!

After last season with a braindead coach I never would have thought we would turn things around like we did this season, I am so glad MJ woke up and fired tenderloin I mean ham biscuit, lol and put one of the best people to build a team from the ground up in LB. He took this team, made a couple good draft picks, broke the team down, made several good trades and then built this team into a team that gave every team they played a good game. He turned the season from what looked like a failure to start out into a success. This team will be even better next year and we will finally get to the much wanted playoffs. Thank you MJ and LB for everything this team has become......

To be honest, I have to thank Gerald Wallace for making me a Bobcats fan. The very first game I went to, 12-14-07 Gerald played his ass off every minute, and the FB never took him out. I had no clue who anyone but Wallace, Okafor, Felton, AmMo, and May were, but that got me into the team a little. I went to another game against the Mavs where Gerald and JRich were the only players again, but FHB used McInnis against us that time. After that, I watched a few games on tv, and sort of became disinterested until they fired the moron. I just liked makng fun of him, actually. But when I heard they might get Paul Silas, I was really excited, and I thought bringing in LB was a bad idea, looking at the makeup of the team. Then I realized what he did, and that by changing everything he would make things better. After I found BCP over the J-Rich trade, well, the rest is history. But thanks to the Bobcats just like Robert for making the end of the Panthers season and the beginning of the Red Sox actually mean something. And hopefully next year baseball will be taking a backseat for a month or so...

Robert +1

I'll tell you, the loss to Detroit was so hard for me to take; it was a gut-shot that is very similar to how I feel when my Tarheels lose in the tourney, or my Astros lose in the playoffs (when that rareity occurs that they make the playoffs FUCKTHECUBS koff-koff, that is). After stewing over the game for a couple hours, I realized, despite the pain of the loss, and the reality that the playoffs were a pipe dream this season, how special it is to feel that hurt because this is the first time I've felt this particular sensation as a Bobcats fans. In years past, there was no logical reason to consider the playoffs. Sure, year 3 and the Walter show allowed us to mention the word, but it wasn't really probable, and then we have the FHB last season and the thankfulness that the season was over, and the resultant hope that he would be "relieved of his duties."

But yeah, after thinking on it, as disappointing as they've played down the stretch since the LAL home win, I realized this is the kind of pain that will make the eventual successes to come all the sweeter, and I wouldn't have been so disappointed if not for such a great season they've put together, and for that, I thank them.
