I think the players got management's intentions last game when we threw it in the 4th quarter.
And yes...there's no way I could pull for a "tanking" team. Thank God we only had to endure this 5 quarters.
Fatass with the block! Its a miracle!

I really don't think it's tanking. I mean the only thing that could be helped with a win would be team morale. I don't ever, ever condone tanking but when they don't matter, you make them matter with giving guys playing time that you want to evaluate and hey, if they pull it out it's a big deal. If your core wins against another team's scrubs, big deal and ps dummy, it didn't help you in the lottery. I've been saying dummy a lot lately, Dennis from 30 rock is pretty much my favorite reoccuring character ever on a show.

The Orlando announcers just said that DJ looks like a smurf on the court.
I've never heard such bashing.

Is my espn game cast correct? Did Nazr start in place of Mek? Is there a story there?

I know Mek was hurt last game
And Nazzy isnt doing a half bad job, either, 12 pts 5 boards and I saw at least 1 block in 14 minutes

Nazr used to be pretty decent when given consistent minutes. Shame LB seemingly came in looking at him basically as a practice/good locker room guy. Dude's paid too much for that role.

Yeah, I never understood why he wasn't starting, but oh well. He was my second favorite player last year...I wish he played more. I hope we trade him somewhere where he can play.

Speaking of Nazr starting they said before the game started that LB wanted to start Nazr because he wanted to try a few different things....

If Milwaukee wins and we lose we'll pick 9th...if both lose we pick 10th.
Right now they're down 3 with a little over a minute left. If NJ had won we'd been at 8th.
Something tells me we tanked these last two for nothing.

We haven't tanked, we've played some guys so we know what to do in free agency, and we were 13th, so it wasnt for nothing...

Like I said I don't think we've been tanking this whole time but the last two games; losing Raja got us from 13th to now. I do think LB had an eye on the order tho when he decided to "try different things".
...and hello 10th pick!
Hopefully we won't screw this one up (LOL...yeah right!).

119 combinations, 11.9% chance
88 combinations, 8.8% chance
63 combinations, 6.3% chance
43 combinations, 4.3% chance
28 combinations, 2.8% chance
17 combinations, 1.7% chance
11 combinations, 1.1% chance
8 combinations, 0.8% chance
7 combinations, 0.7% chance
6 combinations, 0.6% chance
5 combinations, 0.5% chance
The lottery works like this...
Well, he hasn't had the chance to see Dontell, Sean, or Cartier in much of an in-game situation, so I don't blame him with nothing to play for. It's not like we're at home in front of the fan base, and the other team is playing scrubs so having our starters out there is a waste. I don't like it, but it's valuable to the coaching staff and front office.

Not disagreeing with ya Teej...just isn't any fun for us.
dav...wonder what's the highest pick that's gotten into the top 3? Wasn't Chicago last year to jump the highest to 1st?
Whoa...I think I counted wrong. What I get for looking at the standings before the games are over.
I think we're at 12th.

Despite the weighted odds, the Orlando Magic managed to win the lottery in both 1992 and 1993; the second time, they had held the best record among non-playoff teams (and thus the smallest odds of winning).
That was a horrid, awful, disgusting, revolting game
with the exceptions of Dontell Jefferson and Nazr Mohammed

I'm gonna pretend this game didnt happen. ;) Same here. Seeing as how I didn't even watch it, that'll make it even easier to dismiss. I've already admitted how the wind was ripped from my sails after the Detroit loss, but fuck, this team really rolled over like a whipped pup post-Lakers. Very very very very disappointing end to the season that has me more concerned with next season than I was hoping to be :( I know not having Raja was big, and fatigue got the best of Raymond, but their opponents weren't world-beaters during this stretch and they had injuries and/or fatigue issues as well.
Still an incredible season, but April was a bit disconcerting to say the least...
