John Clayton's writing this up for our news side and I'll come back with analysis here in just a bit. But Jake Delhomme has a new five-year, $42.5 million deal with the Panthers, 20 mill guaranteed

Wow at our front office rewarded Jake for his Arizona performance. I like his heart & will to win but we need to stop living off his 2003 succes & realise we need to find a replacement. I'm praying we draft Pat White this weekend.

We need to keep Jake right now but we do need to be grooming his replacment. I cant understand the deal given to Jake, will he even to be able to play in 5 more years? the deal seems too extreme to me......:cool:

Yep we need real competition at the QB spot let Jake, Moore & a free agent, traded qb or draft pick battle it out. Truthfully we have never had a friendly competition with two starter caliber QB's & that's what is missing.

Zig I thought this was a cruel joke when I saw this on another forum
