Props to Big Slam for posting this first at RGM. But I'm glad for DJ that he made the 2nd team. That is what he deserved this season. Cant argue with any of the picks.

I'm glad the coaches didn't get sucked into the Greg Oden hype and bump someone like Gasol for him.

Greg averages 10.6 fouls per 48. Their was no way in hell he was making the team. Jason Thompson not making it surprised me though.

He also averaged 9/7/1.1 in only 21mpg too.

The only reason he only played 21 minutes was because of his foul problem. Any time you play that sloppy/reckless or whatever you want to call it, coaches are not going to reward you.

Interesting that the "read the full story" link sends you to the RealGM Player Rankings page. I've never heard of this "Floor Impact Counter" stat line; no doubt it's as relevant as all the others.

No need to watch the games...we have stats!

Oden = epic fail

Thompson played on a horrible team, so I'm thinking that's why

The 2008 class was very deep & filled w/ talented prospects I'm just glad we have 1 of the brightspots in a draft for a change in DJ.

He needs to teach Ray how to shoot threes

Or Gerald...

Fixed. Take out the 3 ptrs and Felton actually has a slightly better %.

That would apply to both BTW.

Exactly I hope the 2 of them buddy up this off season and practice a lot together, maybe say a deal that Ray teaches DJ defense and DJ teaches Felts how to shoot....

Works for me...we'd have 2 all-star pg's...if Mo Williams can get there, then a 3-shooting Ray can get there, and a defense playing DJ could get there.

Gerald simply needs to fire a few hundred CORNER 3s a day a la Bruce Bowen. He can keep his game the way it is and add this one component and it would make a HUGE difference. When Felton gets into the lane off the pick and roll, having Gerald as a viable CORNER 3 (again not trying to overhaul his game) option would do wonders. At the end of Vincent's tenure when Gerald was hurt and the team went 8-4, hitting Matt Carroll and J-Rich for corner 3s was a big part of things that opened the floor up. It also got Carroll a big contract. ;-) This would result in a clearer lane for penetration and a more efficient offense. It would also give Gerald even more driving opportunities if guys had to start come flying at him.

I said during the summer DJ would make the 1st or 2nd team. It's going to be nice to see how he improves over the summer. He needs to beef up a little so he can take a hit in the lane and still finish.I'd also like to see more assisits out of DJ. But over all I was very impressed with his rookie year. I was one of the few people on draft night that cheered the selection. I don't know what they plan on doing with Felton but I'll be happy with DJ if he is put into the starting role.

DJ and Bell are our biggest trade assests right now thanks to DJ having a very good year . If either DJ or Felton packeged with Nazz can land us a solid scoring two who could could fit with the core im for trading either . [Crawford] type

Drafting Evens a big combo or even Lawson if nothing else falls to us...
