There has been plenty of news about this in baseball. At this point it seems like every good player in the last little while has cheated. I highly doubt that football is any cleaner and given the money involved you have to wonder about basketball too. When I look at how wide Lebron and Blake Griffins Jaws are I can't hep but think about Sammy Sosa.
If preformance enhancers were all over the NBA how would you guys feel about that. Would it make the game lose some of its luster?
When you hear about A-Rod going from a 100 pound bench press to a 300 pound bench press in six months it seems like a non steriod player couldn't compete with somebody that was jucing.
What about the possiblity of players using more in contract years to score that big money then falling off the map?
Sure Lebrons greatness is due in large part to his high basketball IQ and good skill set but then there is also his ridiculess first step and the fact his body was so developed at such a young age.
If basketball and football records and history were as important to a bunch of old white guys in congress as baseball is does anybody think we wouldn't be seeing something similar?

I don't know. The fact that the drugs enhance performance means nothing to me. Nutrition, weight training, and simple evolution are making people better athletes.
What bothers me is that these drugs have dangerous side effects. If a player gets an edge because they use vitamins and exercise more, that's great. Nobody is harmed from working hard and adding nutrients to the body. However, players shouldn't have to harm themselves to be competitive.
I don't see any guys in the NBA that I think are taking 'roids. I don't know enough about it to say, but I think the entire head looks bigger, not just the jawline. Lebron simply looks like a big, proportionate man to me, albeit a giant one! We're going to keep seeing people get bigger and bigger as time goes on.

I think the performance enhancement scandals in baseball have all but killed that sport. It was boring to me before, and now that everybody is cheating, it's only worse.
Football players use steroids, HGH, and others too but they just haven't been caught yet. (with the exception of Shawne Merriman)

Please share proof of this

Not saying that these 2 were on steroids, but whenever I saw these 2 play, steroids crossed my mind

His height/weight allowed him to add so muscle I hope he's not on the juice.

I seriously doubt he is. He was on his way to an NBA HOF career as a prep junior. Why risk it by juicing up? Plus, I'm not sure that juicing gives the same advantages in basketball that it does in other sports. Basketball's not about power so much as it is quickness, agility, and touch.

It would help with that first step used to blow by guys for sure. The bench press thing about A-Rod I heard on sportscenter when they were talking about the new book coming out where they were talking about him using in high school. The book is supposed to contain interviews with former team mates and such.

Sean May is on performance decreasers
First, just like football it doesn't have as much bearing on the history and luster of the game. Also, wouldn't steriods decrese your ability to put the ball in the hoop and increse your techs...wait...Dwight Howard anyone?

When I was in middle school working out every other day for 45 minutes and pkaying two sports I went from 70 to 160 in 6 months, and I didn't even do creatin or protein shakes. It's not that hard to do with the effort and time they have.

I also increased mine from 135 to 215 in one semester of high school as a 10th grader, naturally. It's possible to increase that much in a year if he's using protein, creatine, glutamine, and other supplements. When your max is that low, it's easy to see huge improvements.
