What would command this summer as a free agent? He had a strong playoffs and is a tall, tough, athletic center. I know he doesn't have a back to the basket game, but I would certainly like to see he and Okafor guarding the paint together. What do you guys think? I think if we could somehow land him he would be extremely beneficial.

I don't think I would like that. I know we suck at center position and
we suck even more at backup center but I don't like him. If anything
I would want to trade Diop fo Greg Oden in portland.

Oden averages more fouls than points. If he played, he would foul out of every game. He's a colossal bust. Worse than Darko.

How long do we have to wait to say it? All the players who get better show flashes. I never saw anything from him except more fouls. At least Darko can play without fouling out and looking like he's 100.

I love that not only are you insinuating that Darko is better than Oden, but you are also implying that Gana is better than Oden.

I saw this "we should trade Gana for Oden" and it took all I had in reserve just to walk away from the idea and not rip it to shreds saying how stupid it was and that we would be the laughing stock of the NBA for even thinking about that sort of a trade.

And all you can come up with is that Oden is a bust and not worth Gana.

Classic stuff right there.

Teej, he's had a similar injury as Sean May has. May has been given the benefit of the doubt for over two years now. Oden hasn't had anywhere near that long and you're already labeling him a bust?

I've seen flashes. Other people have seen flashes. Oden is going to be fine. Cut him some slack

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and I'll admit that.

But when I've watched him play, I've seen less from him than I've seen from Joel freaking Pryzbilla. And same with Nate McMillan. When your playing Pryzbilla more than your #1 pick...I know he had an injury like Sean, but it's been a long time and we all got on Sean, and Sean had the added weight problem that added to him that Oden doesn't have. Oden can't even stay on the court because he's fouling more than Lexy did in the D-League. He averaged 6.5 fouls per 36 minutes! Not even 48, but 36! He'll always get the same easy stats that Meka and all the others get from alley oops and the like, but he's not looking like a top 10 worthy pick at this point, not much more than a Tyson Chandler at best, and I could see him regressing or just staying the same easily. With most guys, like Durant, Mayo, Lopez, Rose, Beasley, etc. you saw that they were going to be great or at le ast very good. Oden I haven't seen that. I just don't think he's all that.

He's a bust for the number 2 pick. Just liek Oden's a bust for the number 1 pick. They can both be solid players, but still be busts. Sean May can be a decent player, but still be a bust.

Darko couldnt control who picked him, he deserved to be a top 20 pick, not a top 2. That just shows Joe Dumars makes dumb decisions, not that Darko cannot play, because he can.

As for Greg Oden, he just plays too sloopy, is too slow, and does not seem to understand how to play NBA basketball. He is like a slap happy version of Kwame Brown. How in the world do you average 11.6 personal fouls per 48 minutes. He is not a bust YET because he still has a lot of time to develop, but all indications are pointing to him being one.

If Darko were picked 20th, that'd be ok, but since he was picked 2nd, I guess you could label that pick as a bust instead of him, but I still think its a bust either way. Its tit-for-tat.

As for Oden, maybe he and Andrew Bynum should swap places. THey both could use a change of scenery
