We are playing Pittsburg in the eastern championship series and we lost game 1, 3-2 in a poorly played game 1, but on a brighter note we havent won a game 1 yet throughout the playoffs.... We should take the next game tomorrow night in Pittsburg if everything holds like they have been playing so far....
Go Canes...

I think it's actually on Thursday night (VS).

Last night's game made me feel pretty confident (as much as I can be)...we played them tightly, and if not for that lapse after the 1st goal we'd probably have went to OT. We held their best player in check and we got a LOT of nice chances.

According to the announcers last night no team who's went 7 games in the two previous series has ever won a conference final.

We'll be the first.

The one stat that makes me optimistic is Cam Ward has never, NEVER lost a playoff series. And the Staal bros. thing is pretty good motivation for Eric, who was kinda quiet in the B's series towards the end.

Last night we lost game 2, 4-7 and it wasnt pretty in the 3rd...Cam Ward had a bad night at goal. Coming back to Carolina and maybe we can turn it back around....

Sad, but great considering where they were when they rehired Paul Maurice. ESPN had a great piece on their loyalty today (one of the reasons they have such a great following IMO)

Read It Here (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2009/news?columnist=burnside_scott&id=4200217)

Good read teej. Rutherford is a genious. I wish the Bobcats had a GM half as good.

Simmons. Get Simmons! He'll work for free for a year, too! And get ESPN on our side!

Played the best game of the series too.

I would like to thank the 'Canes for getting me interested in hockey and I'll definately be following them next season
