We have the top 3 down with Griffin, Rubio, and Thabeet off the board. Who do the Kings take with the 4th selection?

I see the Kings as the team that just missed out. They lose on Griffin, Thabeet, and Rubio--all players they would love to have.

Their biggest weakness is the point guard spot. Bobby Jackson is 49 years old, Solomon is a league minimum type player, and Beno just hasn't been the answer. That leaves the opportunity open for Jennings or Holiday here.

I could also see them pick Jordan Hill even though they have Jason Thompson just because he's currently the best player available outside of Harden (who they won't take since they have Kevin Martin).

This is a tough call.

My vote was Brandon Jennings. I'm betting that he will be one of the players that creeps up the board once he does a few workouts.

Jennings. He's very athletic, and his biggest basketball weakness (lack of a 3-ball) will be masked somewhat by Kevin Martin, and his attitude will have likely improved since going to Italy. And he can still take nights off there. :p Good fit for him, good fit for them.

I just don't see them taking Jennings.

The Kings already have a tiny guard (Martin) and won't be able to succeed with two small guys in their backcourt. They need some size--Jrue Brings that

Yeah but Jennings is 6'1, which is solid for a point guard, and has a larger wingspan (I couldn't find an official measurement but all the sites were raving about it) so he'll play big. And he's a physical freak in that he jumps out the gym and is basically a smaller Gerald Wallace. Heck, he dunked on Primoz pretty badly apparently. Not that that's too hard, but Primoz's 7'1.

Jennings at 6'1" 170lb

is a lot smaller than

Holiday at 6'3" 205lb

He's smaller on the stat sheet, but he plays big. He could use to put on a few pounds, yes, but it's not a deal breaker if you watch him play.

I've watched both of them play. It doesn't matter how big he plays. What matters is how big he is. At 170lb. he's going to take a lot more punishment and will be much more injury prone over the long haul.

I'm not saying he's not good. I just see them picking the bigger, stronger, more intelligent player.

Well, I happen to disagree. And I will say that you seem to be in the minority, though I wouldn't be shocked to see them pull someone random out with their pick, condidering their best pick is probably Peja...and thats ever.

I went with Brandon also, why, well the Kings are in need of a pure & quick PG (he could play behind Beno and then take over the starting job once he gets settled), picking a tweener isn't gonna fill the hole at 1.

I think Hill is the BPA at #4 and he goes here. He could go #3, but I dont see him falling past #4.

They'll go with the defensive minded point in Jrue (reminds me of Westbrook/Rondo) I don't know a lot about Jennings just hype & youtube footage.
