ESPN Depth Chart

PG: Devin Harris / Keyon Dooling
SG: Vince Carter / Chris Douglas-Roberts / Maurice Ager
SF: Jarvis Hayes / Bobby Simmons / Trenton Hassell
PF: Ryan Anderson / Sean Williams / Yi Jinlian / Eduardo Najera
C: Brook Lopez / Josh Boone

PG
Devin Harris is a monster. He's come in and been everything the Nets were hoping for and then some. He is their future and major building block. Keyon Dooling an okay backup but they don't really need much behind Harris. A third option would be nice but its not a top priority.

SG
Vince Carter is a tough one to figure out. He's a 20+ point scorer but is 32 years old. When he tries hard, he's as good a scorer as anyone else. When he doesn't try hard, he's simply "okay". CDR and Mo Ager aren't anything special so they could seriously be looking for some depth at this spot.

SF
Hayes, Simmons, and Hassell average about 18 points... combined. 'Nuff said.

PF
They brough Ryan Anderson in to fill this spoit but hasn't really been an answer. Sean Williams looked promising but can't seem to be able to figure it out. Same goes for Yi. Najera was a great piece for the Nuggets but has fallen off once coming to to New Jersey.

C
Lopez surprised everybody last year (myself included) by putting up very solid rookie numbers of 13/8/2. If he continues to improve he'll be a great 1-2 combo with Harris. Boone is a serviceable backup and does pretty well in spot minutes.

My Pick
Earl Clark. The Nets could use help in a few different places, but mainly at the SF spot. Earl Clark has all the skills necessary to play alongside Harris and Lopez. He's fast enough to get up and down, and he's big enough to not be overpowered. He'll be a nice part of their young core that will see them improve next year.

I thought about Clark, but I think they cant pass on the sheer power of Blair. I think they need Clark's position more, but taking the position over the better player is a bad call. Blair is going to be a beast.

I think Clark and Blair is a toss-up...but I went with Clark...
