Which players play well together? (http://www.82games.com/0809/0809CHAP.HTM)
Things that jump out to me:
* All of our starters are in the positive with each other and significantly so.
* Crash is over +100 with each starter.
* Augustin was positive with Felton/Diaw/Mek...negative with Bell/Crash.
* Vlad was positive with Felton/Crash/Mek...negative with Bell/Boris.
* Lex had a positive with every starter
* May was a train wreck with everyone.
I would encourage everyone to check that page out; it's very easy to read and very informative.

That was a great find Spectre! Really interesting stuff. Tried to Rep you up, but it wont let me since I did recently. Will get you one later. I was surprised when I saw Okafor's numbers jump +6 with Diop in the game.

Augustine's numbers w/ Hollin's show how well their alley-oop worked and how little the other team expected it :) Actually looking further, almost everyone had good + scores with Hollins...
i was a little disappointed with giving up on hollins. i thought he was starting to come around.
Many of us questioned why he was not being used more with Mek (particularly after the Dallas road game) since they were working good together...main reason I was pissed about the Diop trade...I don't think we used maximized some of our assets before they were shipped...and if they had been it would have brought back better assets if the decisions was to trade them anyway...but the Dallas and LAL trades put our backs to the wall with the cap (with not enough in return to justify it)...
Why the heck did Andre Brown have such a positive effect on everyone?!?!

Small sample size I imagine.
This shows me what most of us already knew...the starting lineup is solid. The bench other than DJ (and a small part Vlad) not so much. If DJ hadn't got hurt right when we made that nice little run I imagine his pluses would be much higher.
That run "should" be the norm this season if we can get some good depth and limit the starters' minutes (they just ran out of steam last season) as well as avoid the injury bug.
I have nothing but optimism for next year and I think these stats only reinforce that.
...as long as we do not qualify McMay I will be optimistic...that and a quality draft that deepens the bench...

Isn't it awesome not drafting for a starter every year and instead looking for depth? Gosh. I almost feel like we have a real NBA team!

Yes......Yes...Yes
I have to say looking for more benth help instead of " The Savior " feels good for once. Also having only one clear hole in the line up is a dramatic change from the past few drafts.

Sortable NBA 5-man Unit Stats (http://www.82games.com/0809/USORT2.HTM)
Major hat tip to Walt Cronkite over at RGM (he's also registered here).
Our starting group ties for sixth in the league in regards to +/-. and only Boston of the top groups beats minutes played together...until you get to 13th the minutes aren't even close.

Yea, I was pretty much dumbfounded when I saw that! The unit isn't particularly good at anything, but to play so many minutes and maintain such a good +/- is incredible, so they must've been doing something right.
