I know this is gonna sound 'sketchy' but one of my Dads co-workers friends who works for the Bobcats said that the 'rumor' or whatever you wanna call it, going around the arena is that the Bobcats have been sold. The people who have bought the team will keep the team in Charlotte and Jordan is NOT part of the group.
Go ahead and say this is fake or whatever(I am somewhat skeptical too...) but this co-worker does know alot of people and he has been right about these kind of things before.
I don't and will not have any more info.....

as long as its not ray wooldridge...this is interesting tho...im not gunna jump to any conclusions cuz i dont think this has happend, but that would be very interesting...my biggest concern for anybody but mike buying the team is that LB said he would kinda feel uncomfortable
I doubt this since the league has to approve a sale and no way it does not become public...

Yeah, it's possible Johnson has someone who's willing to pay what he wants, but it still has to be voted on by the owners...and they meet only occasionally.
If Jordan isn't getting majority interest then I'm worried about the future of LB. Jordan pretty much has all the power bb wise and I don't know that a new owner would be so removed as Johnson seems to have been.
No Jordan...no LB.
spectre...I agree that BJ could have someone that has said they are willing to buy the team...but sold...no...league has to approve...

Ive heard rumors,
The rumor i consider compleatly a rumor with nothing backing it up but a rep talking . Said it was Bruton Smith and MJ. Whitch i find hard to belive.
But with his talk this leads me to belive someone is making some kind of movement.
Its kinda like the you hear your company is being sold . [rumors] But whos buying?
Who knows what kind of "buyers rumors" we're going to heard before it is said and done...my only comment really...sold...no...league has to approve!

Well it could be that the league is waiting until after the draft or johnson has found a buyer and they are just settling in on a deal

I know my dads co-worker but i dont know the guys name who works for the team.....It really doesn't matter lol
It's so I can email them directly for details, or get a direct quote from Michael since it's in-house.
But if you don't know it's not important.

Wow don't get so excited . Neither one of us said it was a sorce we relyed upon.
I even said rumors . MY REP is just speckulating. Im sure he hears things true or not because it involves his job. You sound as if you never worked a job with rumors flying everday. About being bought out and leaving you just guessing whats going to happen.
I say hows it going , He says im hearing we getting sold. I say to who , He says i have heard rumors.
Thats how it goes . I have no reason to lie , We all have ticket reps and mine calls me at least once a month. Other season ticket holders are probely frinds with thair reps to............

I wasn't talking about your rumor, I was talking about ammofan's. I'm not excited, I'm just doing what any writer (or in my case, aspiring writer) does, and that's sniff out rumors and ask questions. Thats advice from Michael Thompson, too. If I have an inhouse source saying the team is sold to ammofans family, then if I know who that source is I can ask him directly, and if i don't get anything from him, I go to Michael and say a (position of employee) within the 'Cats said you've been promised a buyer. Is this true. I get an answer yes or no to use. Nothing I'm excited over, just good jounalism.

Good luck you do write well, And if you are wanting to write geting info is the best way to do it. I have met Micheal Thompson , quite a few times but hes much better frinds with Beagle , He brings Beagle mid game stats and they talk all most ever game.

I've met Michael as well, great guy, and we email each other when he's not tied down. And thanks about my writing.
