Will Dish Network and non-TWC customers finally be able to watch the Bobcats without resorting to low-quality streams? Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to watch a team that PLAYS IN YOUR OWN STATE.
I've sent as many messages to DISH as I can, but The Bobcats gotta help us out here.

Dish has it in certain areas...I can view games on Dish if I had their coverage.

TWC used to show just about every game on ch. 14 in fayetteville. Now I have to go through way to much just to watch a game. The one's i'm forced to watch online make me want to set my laptop on fire.

Well in the Raliegh-Apex area we saw just about every game last season on channel 50 when the Canes wernt playing and channel 145 when the Canes were playing because the Canes game would be on channel 50. I dont quite understand why you couldnt get the games on TWC unless you dont have the sports package...

Thanks spectre. I know most of the west and South Carolina don't have TWC and DISHnetwork in Fayetteville didn't have any NBA team. Even the Hawks and Wizards games we got before the Bobcats new deal were blacked out. I even tried to find a way to switch to DirecTV without paying a contract termination fee to DISH but they weren't having it.

DirectTV actually has a page on their website...I think activated by your zip code...that will tell you who your "home teams" are in your area. I'd hazard a guess and I could be wrong but if DISH doesn't offer them then most likely DirectTV won't either.
Last time I checked the dividing line was just east of Greensboro going west to east. Not sure how far south it goes.
My home teams in Apex were the Baltimore baseball team yet the Bobcats weren't (no NBA team was). Go figure.
Personally I think we're in the wilderness until this team starts winning and customers of the sats start asking for access...which will most likely be a number of years.
What REALLY pisses me off is how easy it would be to offer the two Fox Sports channels as an extra pay channel sort of like with League Pass. I'd GLADLY pay them 80 bucks a season and would most likely go higher.

The way I understand it is that we already have FSsouth which turns into FScarolina when a Hurricanes or Bobcats game comes on, Fox Sports charges the dish and cable guys for access to these games, DISHnetwork doesn't think it is worth it to pay the premium for the Bobcats games.

Yup, I have it too. The Canes' games come on but the Bobcats' games are blocked out.
Heh...it's hard to describe how mad I get when I see the game in the schedule and there's this circle with a line thru it.

With the problems these cable providers seem to have getting these games on TV it's no wonder the Bobcats are so unknown in their own state. For people like me who can't drive 3hrs there 3hrs back all the time. Games on TV and the net are all I have. The only way I can think of getting the games on either TWC, Dishnetwork or anywhere is start a huge petition. This site has 800 some members with a few oversea's fans. I'm sure we would all like to see the games on TV. Moderators...Ya'll seem like the alpha male types that take charge....How bout we find a way to start a Bobcats on TV petition.

I live a few miles outside of charlotte and without any sports pack TWC does have coverage here. That said, I switched to Directv and they also have the games w/o a sports pack, albeit I do still carry the league pass, because I enjoy seeing the competition and have been known to watch 3-4 games a day sometimes :)
Sadly in Rock Hill (5 minutes from charlotte) Comporium (i.e. Sukporium) doesnt carry bobcats or the 'canes.

Well in Fayetteville, I had DISH and NBA League Pass. Every game I would call DISH and tell them I have league pass but can't watch the game, they tell me check the sports alternates for local teams, I do and obviously it says its blacked out, DISH rep says that shouldn't be and makes a "formal inquiry". Nothing happens until I call them next game and repeat.

I'm a little worried we all will be missing some games this season. It's just the economy and I don't know what kind of contract there is but if the ratings aren't there, wouldn't it make sense to not send the camera folks the producers, the announcers, Stephanie Ready's fine ass, the production people, the live satellite, when you could play another Best Damn Top 50 baseball players caught picking their nose in the dugout?

No. The Bobcats screwed themselves with the deal they made. If they expect the cable companies to pay the high rate they are charging to show the Bobcats on FSN then they are beyond delusional. Cable companies have to pay a fee to add Bobcats to FSN. As long as the fee is at the current level, these cable companies are going to be slow to adopt the Bobcats (if ever).
