Thanks for the links guys. I can't wait. He said he's been working on his shot. Lets see if it's paid off. I'm sure he'll have some first game jitters. I think Bernie's son JB is still a coach over there, I used to hang out with him when he was here. I'll message him and tell him to take care of our boy.. haha. Do any of you guys know if we have anyone else playing in the summer league?

Derrick Brown just finished up with the Utah Jazz and if you count him, Cartier Martin is playing with the Warriors, he finished with some OK stats

Martin's stats http://www.nba.com/summerleague2009/players/index.jsp?player=cartier_martin

Brown's stats http://www.nba.com/media/magic/uta_stats_071009.pdf
he at least led the Jazz in scoring

Did we resign Martin? Is he still on the team? I liked his game, he just needs a little more confidence. He seemed hesitant at times last season.

More Vegas SL roundup

Austin Daye has been playmaker extraordinaire for Detroit. On the Pistons' first possession Saturday, he whipped a sharp pass from the perimeter to Trent Plaisted underneath for an easy two. On his team's second sequence, he took his man straight off the dribble to the rack for a layup. A minute later, on a pop-out, Daye nailed a silky 3-pointer. A few possessions later, he flew in from the weak side for an offensive rebound and a vicious putback slam. And that was only the first eight minutes. For all the talk about Daye lacking an NBA body, it's hard not to draw the comparison to another lanky, versatile Pistons small forward who's done well for himself in the league.

Anthony Randolph should have a Summer League exemption. It's really not even fair to the rest of the competition: 24 points on 10-of-13 from the field, 11 boards, five blocks. We saw him finish with his right, run the break in transition coast to coast, post, shoot from the perimeter. It was the full Randolph canvas on Saturday, and he's far and away the best talent here over the first two days.

And something that really made me

Some guys have the gift, but there are 30 starting point guards in the NBA and not all of them have it. Chris Paul and Steve Nash do. But Deron Williams and Chauncey Billups aren't great passers, yet they're great point guards.

It sure it. I wasn't able to catch the first half, but if it was anything like the second then I can't get much of a read on Hendo. They seem to act like passing him the ball will cause their heads to explode.

well, i'm sure they re more concerned with getting looks for Ellington, but i would expect him to be more active ad the league goes on

Wow, it's like street ball. No passing. ZZZZzzzz........ LOL! I'm very very happy Derrick had a solid SL (and appreciative of the Jazz for giving him as PT as they did---seriously, that is damn damn classy!), but the thing isn't worth a hill of beans. The organization made the right move by not fielding a team because it is basically glorified street ball....no teaching or learning or growing or anything useful.

Averaging over 20ppg . Martin wants to play for somebody. He went 7 for 15 for 27 points in his second summer league game....

Wow, I've watched the entire 3rd and 4th so far. No Hendo AT ALL. This is kind of like a slap in the face. Why don't we just bring him back, he'd get more out of working out on his own than sitting there watching the scrubs Minny is playing.

I understand the point in playing your own guys, but if you're not even gonna give our guy any serious time, why even take him on at all?

Minny still has 3 games to play, maybe he'll check in then.

Could he be suffering from a minor injury of some sort?

This will not look good for future rookies. Now i see why Rubio stayed in spain.
