Ben Wallace wants a one year deal. It is a long shot but atleast go talk to him.

Shelden Williams is a bust yes, but he can defend the paint and the rim. He is definitely worth of being a backup four on this team.

Tim Thomas was bought. This was a player Larry Brown pushed for hard before the Diaw trade. I know they have similar styles and Diaw has already filled the holes Brown expected Thomas to, but it couldn't hurt.

No to wallace (currently he is a older, worse version of diop)
Maybe to Williams (as in last resort maybe, i would rather have RoSeanda May then him)

I guess 'yes' to Tim Thomas. For cheap, and only for cheap.

As for hypothetical lineups, i would rather have Nazr then Diop. Nazr can play defense, not as good as Diop but he still is solid. Diop is not 1/8 the offensive player that Nazr is. If we want scoring Nazr could easily average 10-12 points a game off the bench with Diop's minutes or 15-18 if starting. As for Lexy, he showed lots of potential last year, but i think he needs a full year in the d-leauge before he can be a rotation player.

Mek gets 15 fairly easily when he's a decent target, he's bigger than most 4's.
