It was most definately real, I have several family members that worked and retired from NASA. 1 of them worked at NASA Langley in Virgina and 2 of them worked at mission controll in Houston during the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions. It was most definately real. The new LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) in orbit around the moon has taken early pictures of the landing sites from 100 km and when its orbit has been refined will take pic's of them from 50 km. Here is the website with the pic's.

Yeah, typical gov't people, they'd lose their minds if they weren't attached...oh, wait...nevermind.

I'm not really down with the conspiracies anymore, but HOW DO YOU LOSE FOOTAGE OF THE MOON LANDING?!

Seriously, no one was all "Hey, maybe we should archive this one..."?

The same reason the Secret Service lost track of one of the First Kids at one point. People in charge of guarding that kind of stuff aren't usually that intelligent. If they were, they'd be the ones deciding who guards what.

It was stuck between reels of the summer of '69 sack race and karaoke from the Christmas party. It's hard to fault the intern that deleted it, especially when you consider they needed the tape to record the season finale of Alf (for you CoCo fans out there).

Funny!!!!

I believe in the moon landing's, I'm not that far out there. I've seen some of the video's on the history channel and internet about how it was faked. But 12 different people from the US space department have walked on the moon. I wonder what it's like looking back at the earth from the moon. Thats got to be freaky. I've seen what Earth looks like on space from tv and movie like everyone else. But to really...Really...look back at earth....
