So a lot have talked about this trade, but no one has really welcome Chandler to Charlotte...I'm doing just that...I hope Chandler becomes great with us and becomes a scorer and person we can lean on on both sides ofear the court....

Wonder what number he'll wear...both his #6 (from NO) and #3 from Chicago has been taken...

As much as I hate the trade, I will fully support Tyson. I love his energy, and I hope we run a LOT more now.

If he is healthy like he was a couple of seasons ago I prefer him over Emeka. So in that regard I hope he plays a full season and does all the things LB is wanting him to do. I can't wait to see a "Real" pic being set one of our big men. Small things like that play a bigger part in basketball games than people realize and it never shows up on a stat sheet.

Nah, not for me. I've been a loyal Bobcat fan to this point, always tried to find the silver lining. Mek for Chandler is the most boneheaded thing we've done since drafting Ammo. It's not the worst decision in our franchises young history, but it's close.

This is probably why we haven’t seen the rookies or Chandler in press shots holding their new jersey. Also, note how the Bobcats rookies have been left out of the NBA.com rookie portraits slide show (http://www.nba.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0908/09rookie.portraits/content.1.html). Also note that you can’t buy jerseys from the bobcats site right now (http://yhst-55689164847873.stores.yahoo.net/bobcats-jerseys.html).

I think we are forgetting something important that Tyson himself even said. He likes to run the floor. Okafor....Well he was not going to when any shuttle runs anytime soon. We have two PG's that push the rock like fred flintstone at work. Now we could have Henderson and Wallace on the wings, either Diaw or one of the PG's controling the break and Chandler trailing. We've already seen the man jump so we known this years highlight film will be impressive. Chandler also likes to make quick cuts to the basket. Diaw hit Okafor with those same types of cuts and Okafor usually got blocked by the rim, the defender, the lights who knows it just never ended up as two points for us. With the break and the passing ability of this team I think Tyson equals Emeka's output on both ends.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, we will all find out if he is or isn't better than Mek when we finally start playing.... I personally think we wont be any worse off than if Mek was still here...:cool:

Just a reminder...Chandler gets alot of his points off offensive rebounds. If we sign Iverson Chandler should have a feild day getting rebounds....well hopefully.

Seriously though, Okafor wasn't ever going to be more then a Rebounder/Defender. Chandler runs the floor, something Okafor was known for. He also doesn't get blocked 12 times a game. He's not under sized and We dont have to worry about him being "into" the game and team concept.
