Interesting quotes
Higgins said talks with restricted free agent point guard Raymond Felton have "stalemated" after a meeting earlier this month in Las Vegas.
"Rod's statement is on point," Felton's agent, Kevin Bradbury, said Wednesday.
"I think it's obvious when teams around you are improving," Brown said, "that you can't afford to stand pat."

That's a good article...right on point.
Be interesting to see who blinks first between the FO & Felton. I feel pretty sure LB did in the Okafor negotiations, pushing them to sign him if they were to have any hope for the upcoming season.
I definitely feel someone will blink tho. Hopefully it's a little bit of both and they meet in the middle.

We will make it work if felton wants to stay.

Figured I'd piggy back off this thread with another positive article:
Chandler Brings Versatility to Bobcats (http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=13457)
In addition to the beneficial effect on the Bobcats' bottom-line, head coach Larry Brown made a strong case for how this trade helps the team on the court as well, citing Chandler's athleticism and versatility as an important factor in the Bobcats making the deal. "The biggest thing when you're building a team and you don't necessarily have the depth of more established teams, you've got to find guys that can play more than one position," Brown said. With forwards Gerald Wallace and Boris Diaw teaming up with Chandler, who will be used as a power forward and center, Brown believes the Bobcats are on the right track in that regard.
"The more guys that you can get that can be in that situation, the more flexibility you have," he added. "When you look around this league, a lot of teams go small so your center really sometimes is guarding a perimeter player. I think mobility and quickness on the perimeter is really the way you need to play."
Brown said he was quite excited to have a player with Chandler's ability to play defense on the perimeter, juxtaposing Chandler's skillset against that of Okafor in that Chandler's length and quickness allows him to better guard against the pick and roll. "I think Tyson, athletically, has great length and great quickness," Brown said. "Emeka is more your prototype center. I think Tyson can get up the floor and press a little bit more, which is something I believe we would like to do."
But with Chandler in place, the Bobcats believe they've put together a roster that will meet goals of reaching the playoffs this year. There certainly are some questions of his ankle, but when Chandler is healthy, his work-ethic and toughness are amongst the top in the league. If Brown and Higgins are right that Chandler will be a better fit for this Charlotte squad, a spot in the postseason is definitely a possibility.

This article belongs to our friend pree (Mr. Preetom Bhattacharya), who might be the only guy who always makes positive comments about us out there, contrary to the other guys as Hollinger who never show us the least bit of respect.

Yeah, I caught that. He should come back to posting on here.
Did you notice Chandler's goals for improvement? FT shooting (yay!!!) and using both hands on the hook shot.

Wasn't it on the Wilson Chandler vid I put up the other day? :p
I don't know why I find that so funny, but I do!
I've never seen the guy do anything like set post moves, but I've never followed the west coast teams very much. Tell you what tho; if he's willing to listen/learn then he came to the right place. If there is post moves LB will get it out of him.
Personally I can't wait to see those nasty picks on the P&R followed by the thundering dunks. And that primal scream.
Yeah baby!

Haha I was being sarcastic... mostly ;)
I'm sure the guy doesn't have Tim Duncan or Pau Gasol post moves. But it's not like Mek had a reliable hook or anything himself. If Tyson has a simple left/right hook shot then he's going to do juuuuust fine
