Seeing that we need a shooting guard/small forward that can score, i think Mason could be a healthy alternative to Allen Iverson. Although a lot of us want AI (including me!), a large chunk does not. Mason is younger and has less baggage. Plus, OKC has announced that he will not be returning...

Saw the story on ESPN and thought maybe a back up plan for A.I. Could work out...

If the price is right he could help fill out the bench and be good GW injury insurance. I would sign who ever looks like a good bargin between him and AI, no more than around 2mil per year.

The Thunder expressed interest in re-signing the 31-year-old Mason throughout the summer and had ongoing discussions with his agent since the start of free agency on July 1. Mason made $5.3 million in the final year of his contract last season and is believed to be seeking a deal in the same neighborhood this summer.

Ain't happening...at least not with us.

Honestly I've never liked his game anyway. He doesn't have an outside shot and relies totally on his athleticism in the paint to overcome that and his lack of height.

I have no problem with another wing. He only needs to be a legit SHOOTER, however, IMO. We have enough guys who can be athletic without shooting well. We need a knockdown WING shooter.
