Thoughts on the ideas [REALISTIC]
Your best trade idea?
G/S out Maggs Claxton Averages 18 ppg for Maggs can play the two or three Claxton a filler and third guard. G/S would do about anty thing to get rid of his contract.
Charlotte out Vald, Nazz , Jefferson, all role players Maggs could benefit the two and three big time . Claxton could be a 3rd point and is a expiring contract.
We save a milion in cap this year and 5 milion in cap next year. But the down fall is we carry two extra years of Maggs contract.
Thoughts on this or come up with another trade idea during this dead time.

I suggested Bell for Turiaf

We get rid of Nazr as he wants out, send Raja Bell along with him, and take on K-Marts contract, gives us another scorer, we take on 2 years, so that is a cost cutting move for sacramento, gives them two veterans to help the younger guys, and then shorter contracts...
EDIT: Just noticed this was cost cutting ideas....if anything it cuts over 2 million off this years cap

I think this is better (I wanna hang on to Raja). Posted it in the AI thread, but I guess it belongs here as well.
Concept: Kings need a center and have cap space.
Bobcats want a little space below the Luxury tax to sign AI and Felton.
Diop <--> Nazr, both ways work.

I'm sure they'll totally trade a guy who they consider to have upside for 5 million dollars in cap space added on.

Why in the hell would the Bobcats do this? Didn't they just trade Okafor for Chandler to future cap relief? Now, you're expecting the Bobcats to trade an expiring and 2 year contract for 4 years of 10+ million dollars!? Come on guys!

Yeah, well then replace Casspi with whomever they feel they can part with that's getting less than 5 million or so. This supposes they actually do want a center, as reported.
I mean I'm sure no one would ever trade two expiring contracts, one of them an up and coming PF (on a team hurting for a PF) for Nazr Mohammed and his contract. I hear it happens though.
If you're commenting that I'm not really giving much respect to Sac's FO, then yes, you'd be right.

I think Sacramento is looking at a cheaper option without having to give up someone they just drafted. If that trade happened, it would rock my world about owners and how they view this financial crisis..especially the Kings who's looking at a youth movement.

Very good point. As far as back-up centers are concerned, Sacramento could go MUCH cheaper.
I guess I'm just trying to come up with a trade idea. As Dav7z said, the board's been dead lately. I mean, it is Aug/Sept.
A team with no centers, like Houston, would probably be a better fit for a trade, but they don't have capspace so the only difference we can make would have to come out of the 125% + $100,000 allowed by the CBA.

True man, sorry to come off as a dick on that. Yeah, Houston would be a better option...if they like Nazr because Larry isn't trading Diop yet.

No worries.

It seems that way, but it's strange to me. Diop's contract is longer, and he looks so awkward out there. Nazr's not a game-changer by any stretch, but he has the ability to score. Also, from his twitters (I'm embarrassed to say I've been reading twitter), it seems Nazr's been working really hard in the offseason to get that #2C spot and he's already in Charlotte working out with teammates if I'm not mistaken.

This would SO make our team better....
Unrealistic though :)

This one is better and possible (explanation after the link).
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kttnk2
We dump Nazr, assuming the kings need a C. We take a cheap PF in return, we're so nice :)... Then we give Vladi to Portland because they dont have much in the 3/4 combo segment...We take a 2/3. Greene is a "freebe" it works without him, but I'd like it with him.

Bob Johnson would trade Diop for a candy bar . It's the worst contract on the team unless he inproves a hell of a lot . True Houston needs a big but do they have any thing to help us at all.
please explain trades for me i can't see them on the trade checker.

Diop could easily become worth his contract, lets see how he starts the season. He has a lot more upside than Naz and he fits what LB wants to do on defense because he is somewhat mobile.
Here is another question for those that understand the cap rules. If we could find a way to dump Naz and Radman could we offer Lebron the Max in the summer of 2010 and keep everyone else including Felton?
If there was an opportunity for Bobby J to trade Diop before the season for anything cheaper, I'm sure he'd do it, to hell with what LB and MJ thought.
And he better improve...

Can't see your trade?
Kinda sucks but realistic
In .. Cook , Barry , J White from Rockets , Cook expiring, 3.5 milion Barry 2 milion expiring, J White one year left at 1 milion
Out Nazr
Reasons Rockets get a rotation big. with two years left.
We get basicly crap but two expiring contracts whitch would make other moves easy and save 5 milion next year . Give Nazz his wish and let him go
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5235009 This would be even better we would save another 500 k this year
We could then trade Bell , Cook and Barry for a very nice player with a good contract.
A one year rental on Boozer might be possable

What about this one, we get a shooting pf in Cook, a bruiser in Dorsey and insurance with Barry while giving up Nazr and Jefferson.

Cook is no help Barry with 14 years on those leggs not much help. Both is expiring contracts. Saves money . Nazz should have some value Dorsey might be a good fit.
I would do either of those last two trades just for the expirings. But if we could snag Landery like is on the AI thread it would be robbery .
