We are talking about the same skipper beck who got busted in a prostitution sting less than six months ago.I mean I feel sorry for his family, but why are rich people so stupid."oh' I have all this money and nothing else to do with my life so I think I'll learn to fly a plane by myself ".How many high profile people have to die before these dumba$$es realize that if you have enough money to buy a jet then you should pay for a pilot while your at it.There is just to much at stake. And in all honesty I think car salesmen and dealership owners are about the biggest lying sacks of $hit walking the earth so it really is hard for me to feel bad.Just my opinion.
P.S. Hire a pilot John Travolta! Or your next!

I've heard not-nice rumors of Skipper for whatever they're worth; but what I do know is the guy was one owner who attended every game with his wife and sat very close to the team bench. He clearly loved the team and seemed to have a good relationship with the players. So R.I.P. Skip, I'm sure you'll be missed.

Thats ashame. I read he only got his pilots licence back in November of last year so it was a case of inexperience. He probably didnt throughly check out his plane before he took off. One guy said he heard the plane sputtering before it took off and a experienced pilot would have stayed on the ground. Still RIP Skipper....

Thoughts and prayers out to his family and loved ones. It wont be easy for them.
Thoughts and prayers to the Beck family and friends, I've met Skipper's son and he's a nice enough guy, Beck Imports and all of Skipper's stuff did a lot in the community, and he will truly be missed. Skipper was our version of Jack Nicholson, and he was a great thing for the team in the Charlotte business community. RIP Skipper.
