Slick Rick's latest article (http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2009/09/thursdays-pickup-games.html)
This one caught my eye. Call me eternally suspicious, but I hope that this is really just a precaution :g:
2. Center Tyson Chandler isn’t playing yet, looking to protect his injured ankle. I’m told that’s just a precaution, that he’ll be ready for training camp. And Chandler is already working between games with Raymond Felton, to establish some synergy in the screen-and-roll.

Wait... Bonnell still works for the Observer? Couldn't tell.
This is a very interesting update. We get some knowledge of Ajinca's progress. Bonnell lauds Nazr for his offseason effort. This also concerns me about Chandler, but more time off of it is better than re-hurting it.

Felton leading the charge by example. Thats what makes you like this guy. Sign him all ready?
TC not playing games kinda scears me . Shows hes not compleatly sure of the ankle yet?
Nazz must be playing like a monster this year. This is the third time i've heard hes steped it up big time?
McCants looking for rentals, and working out with the team . He might know somthing we don't. Could management be making a sound desision?
Bell moving to Charlotte . He must be retiring hear.
Alexas i like his effort he might break the rotation this year.

i don't think tc worries me just b/c he sat out some pick up games. i think people are reading too much into it. if it were one of the last preseason games and we hadn't seen him on the court yet, then yeah. so many freak things happen in pick up games, that i'd rather him be cautious. i too wish felts would hurry up and get inked. he's an above average guard with a little upside left that is a warrior for you....these are not players that you let walk.

Reaffirms my love of the team that that many of our guys are already out there getting to it! Say what you will about management, etc., but the players we have are always easy and fun to pull for.
Thank heavens the baseball season is coming to a merciful end (for my Astros, at least), and I'm starting to get the juices flowing for another Cats season! Wa-hooooo!!
Rick says almost nothing you couldn't read into what Martin and Lauer were writing or what Hanners said...big surprise.
Except Raja moving here...maybe a lease, just bad wording? That makes no sense since he's been in trade rumors, is in the last year of his contract, and LB won't be around long enough for Raja to become a coach...unless he just loves Charlotte?
TC doesn't bother me.
Frigging sign Ray and McCants already.
If Diaw isn't good to go maybe run Nazr at center and TC at PF?
Other than that, not much news...then again, it is Rickkkkk Bonnnneelllll.
Where's Amp when you need him?
