Diaw injured in France vs Turkia today.... ankle is affected.
He should be able to start the season with the Bobcast, but will miss the last game with the selection and probably the preseason.
Nothing to worry about.
By the way france is qualify for nest world championship....

not the greatest of news. one thing that could kill this team is injury at the forward positions. at least it says that he will be good to go by the start of the season. maybe this is a warning shot to the front office that they need to pursue the landrys and outlaws of the nba and see what's out there.

Great just what I wanted to see. Oh well, hopefully they will do ok with him.
If he's out one month exactly he should be back for the final 2 preseason games for a warmup...then he'll have a 5-day practice bit. We should be fine, but I would LOVE to see some new blood at PF.

5 more days until Landry is a possibility... (probability...?)

This is exactly what I thought. We need depth at 4, Diaw goes down, LB finally has an excuse to pull the trigger with Houston.

not trying to be slack, but i was trying to find posts where we were actually linked to landry other than last year. i remember a post last week or so that had a link to a houston paper, but i didn't see any mention of the two teams talking. is there serious linkage btwn us and houston where we get landry or is it wishful thinking? again, i'm not doubting, just trying to figure out a perplexing mystery that i've kept to myself over the past couple of weeks.
thx!

It's mostly just wishful thinking. And it seems like a good fit as trading partners for both teams.

well worst case if both boris and TC can't go to start the season, our line up might be...
Felton/DJ
Bell/Hendo
Wallace/Radman
Ajinca/Brown
Naz/Diop

ok, thx. i kept seeing posts on here and realgm mentioning landry, yet i couldn't find a proper link. i was hoping i missed something and there was an article that for sure had us getting landry. i too will be on the wishful thinking bandwagon.

This also means more time for Jinx and UPS in the preseason. How's that for silver lining?

Seeing that Nazr currently isnt in game shape due to not playing for basicaly all of last year and Ajinca wont be in game shape for the next 2-3 years that would be terrible. I would rather start Derrick Brown then Ajinca, and pray that Nazr would warm up after the preseason.
But i think TC will be able to play at the start of the season, so it is not going to be that scary.

Bonnell had a blog where he linked us to Dallas, but that made no sense, so everyone thinks he goofed up and meant to say Houston.
And Betcats, have you seen anything Naz has been doing? He's in better shape per pound than just about anyone on the team...

Nazr is in probably the best shape he's been in over the past 3 or 4 years

Physical shape, i am not arguing with you. My point is, LB not playing him last year has taken a toll on him. When i said 'shape' i didnt mean his body, i meant his game. I am not sure how ready you can be if you didnt get any real playing time the season before.

Regardless of what type of shape Nazr's in, he's nowhere near the caliber center we need in order to make a playoff run. Especially if Diaw's injury lingers. This is why Leon Powe would have been a good investment...FOR THE FRICKING MINIMUM!!! Anyway, let's hope and pray that Boris and TC are ready for the season so that we can still have a shot at the playoffs.

I have read other links about Dallas wanting a big . Dallas all so making statments about taking back some of Buckners contract [2mil] But they must have bought it out i don't see him on the roster now. Diop wants to play in Dallas or he wouldn't be working out with those guys ever day instead of our guys. I would like to get rid of his contract any way.
This would work but im not sure i would do it THOUGHTS

They did get rid of Buckner.
Gana has a home in Dallas...that's why he was working out there. Similar to Antawn working out in Charlotte during the offseaon.
Dallas pretty much cut his PT the season we traded for him...I doubt seriously if he wants to go back to that.
