First of all Yes I know it's a week early and it is only a pre-season game, but dammit it's time that we get these game threads cranked up again. It's been too long :biggrin:

Tuesday October 6th at 7:00pm the Bobcats are on the road against the Cavs. When we last saw the Cavs, they were looking like this:

I think you're reading too much into it. It's probably a holdover from Felton's free agency this summer. Notice that Diaw and Chandler are projected starters as well.

I follow Nazr on Twitter, before the season he said he was upset with how he was used and how he'd be ready for the season to prove himself. He said Emeka was a good teammate, but he does believe that he could see more time on the court with Chandler able to play PF and Center...

I like Nazr, I think he's a good veteran center for the 5 million price he is given, he just needs time on the court, and I hope he gets it this year over Diop

I must be the only one different on this, but I can definitely tell a difference in the refs. As stated on the website, only one of the 3 are making calls, the others are just looking around, the one who is calling is calling every little thing....Ajinca has two fouls for sure that I don't think were worth being called a foul. They just reversed their call on a foul and instead gave the ball to the Cavs after initially calling the foul on them. And even for the Cavs there were a few fouls that would have never been called last season...

As stated on the website, only one of the 3 are making calls, the others are just looking around, the one who is calling is calling every little thing....Ajinca has two fouls for sure that I don't think were worth being called a foul. They just reversed their call on a foul and instead gave the ball to the Cavs after initially calling the foul on them. And even for the Cavs there were a few fouls that would have never been called last season...

So basically, screwing the 'Cats...just like normal. :rolleyes:

Lexy looking good down low...still would like him to gain some more muscle, but I think he's capable of playing some off the bench...I'd honestly rather have him than Radman...

I was on his bandwagon last year, and I'm still not giving up on him, I hope he plays some this year and continues to learn, he's added a nice hook shot, and turnaround down low, and we know he can hit a deeper shot, so hopefully he can put everything together...

They said he gained around 15-20 pounds this season, if he can do that next year, he'd be in the 245 area I believe, which would be wonderful..

Wish we could have made a few baskets there at the end, but all in all, I'm pleased with what I saw, especially with two starters out. There were too many turnovers, but those were mainly not by the main core group. MUCH better than the first go-round last year.

Good game, I was impressed with some of the young guys, preseason wins & losses mean nothing to me, I just like watching the team work together...

Only players I was truly upset with was Radmanovic, horrible offense, horrible defense....Raja Bell wasn't that good tonight either 1-7 shooting and some of those shots were wide open, he has to hit those shots. Flip Murray wasn't all that impressive, but considering he has only been on the team for a little while and wasn't really familiar I think he gets better....

Henderson had his flashes, some good, others not so good...3-10 is not good, but he had a few highly contested shots, and 1 or 2 rush shots. This was his first game and I expect him to relax a little more and get better.

Derrick Brown looked GOOD, he looked like the steal that we all believe he is and I hope he continues to play that way well into the season.

Ajinca started off a little weak, but finished off real strong...10 pts 7 rebounds is not bad at all...

What I'm happy about is that most of the guys that played bad are guys that I'm not even worried about, Wallace, Bell, Flip. The youngins looked gooddd, especially Brown and DJ. DJ is making Felton look really expendable right now..

Over all I was pleased with the game and our play. Diop needs work, Nazr looked good... Felton was himself and DJ played well...Everybody seemed to play well enough except our 3 regular starters.... GW 0/5 Bell 1/7 and Felton which was better 2/5....:cool:

I followed along most of the game via Yahoo's scoreboard. For those of you that were able to watch it, how did DJ look on the defensive end? As usual his offensive numbers were solid.

Got caught up in the Twins/Tigers game, but looking at the boxscore (and final score for that matter) I was impressed by, as CatNation says the "youngins." Looks like the replacement refs are whistle happy, as everybody seemed to have at least 3 fouls, but everyone from DJ to Antonio Anderson looked good numbers-wise in terms of the youngins.

Even though it's preseason, it's nice to see we can hang with the Cavs missing 2/3 of our starting frontcourt, including our true facilitator in Boris.

All in all, much more promising start than the 40+ point or so loss to Orlando last year!

But from what I'm reading it sounds like our rookies played well, which is good. Looking at the boxscore its nice to see UPS scoring 10, and DJ's 12 points, 6 assists isn't bad either. Looks like Hendo still needs work on that J of his though (3-10). Nice to see Nazr score 10 and haul in 8 rebs.
