Below is a list of areas with Bobcat fans. Feel free to message the folks on the list to hook-up for group viewing, car pooling, or other Bobcat related stuff. (Keep it clean! No solicitations.)
If a geographic area needs to be edited, just let me know. I'll try to update this list every week or two.

Raleigh, I know there are a couple of other fans here and on Realgm from the City of Oaks. Spectre is pretty close by too, I think. Would definitely be fun to meet at some bar to watch the games... assuming it was possible for bar to stream justin on to a large monitor...

LOL...that's just sad isn't it?
I'd definitely be up for it...think Muttley is in Raleigh too? It shouldn't be too hard to find one with TWC. I know the sports bar at Magregor Village has satellite...so he doesn't have access.
Hell, it'd be a pleasure to actually see a game or two on a big screen this season.

There ought to be a "Bobcats Bar" somewhere in the Raleigh area. That'd be a lot of fun to get together with some folks to watch games.

I'm in Winston-Salem, as the Beagle knows. I've had my season tix for a week or so and haven't even opened them :P
Not sure how many games I'm going to...what should I do? Sell them? (pain in the ass for 50% value, max) Give them to clients? (I feel like I got to beg them to take'im; its a job just to give them away)....or just hang out with you guys for one last year?
Beags you may get a lot of 4th row games this year...just sayin'; then next year? I'll see you upstairs dood.
I'd go to all the games if I could, but the PA gets to me after while. I can't abide the decibels too well. I think I may have a problem in one of my ears and the noise really hurts me. I wonder if the Cats sponser an ENT specialist?

Keetch, my man, first off what about ear plugs for the game? Have you tried that? My brother has the same issue with the PA and we tried that with him, and it helped.
Also, how much is face value for your tix? Cuz if you're where I think you are, 50% is worth it at least some of the time if you need the money.
But if not, I'm sure a lot of BCP would love to hang out with you.
Keetch

Hey, Teej: I'm definitely going to try the earplugs....
As for the tix; they're $150 apiece, which my business covers for games my clients or employees use. It was great 2 years ago; but in this recession, its just a bit ludricrous to have them. My employees are all on 80% payroll and so look at me cross-eyed about anything Bobcats. I'm afraid some of my clients will look at me like I'm crazy as well; which I am, but had no choice but to honor my contract.
So actually to some extent, the tix actually have negative business value to me this year, except for a handful of clients that I trust love the games.
Selling them is for sure something I'll do. But it breaks my heart to do it. I've paid for them already and do truly love to go to the games; or I never would have bought in at the get go. I just have no way to use them all!

Just out of principle, I couldn't possibly take your tickets to more than 2 games this year. If possible, can we sit together for a game this year? Just not the same without you, bro! We'll talk later on that...
LOL! About the tickets? Same here; still sitting on the kitchen counter. It looks like the printed them in a booklet and didn't go the "stick-em in a bundle and put a rubber band around 'em" like last year. Who knows, maybe they were telling us the truth last year about the printers strike?
Anyway, as always, look forward to seeing you!

Unless you have an idea we'll have to do some research on who shows the games. I don't usually go to bars (except the one in Magregor and that's mainly to eat) so I don't have one off the top of my head. I'm in Apex...so west/main Raleigh would be preferable to N. Raleigh for me.

Living in South Raleigh, I'd prefer Apex/East Cary to North Raleigh. Perhaps then WAM, who's in Chapel Hill, would be inclined to join, as well.
That said, I've yet to find a place that shows Bobcats games.

That would've been sweet! Most of those seem like good places. Plus, they're close to an I40 exit, making them accessible to the east, west and North as well.

Update:
Woody's in Cary just told me they have TWC of Raleigh and they are "pretty sure" they will have the games! She said to call her back on the 28th and she'll double check for me.
According to her they have 32 TVs...so getting one shouldn't be a problem.
I tried Harrison's but they have DirecTV only. Probably best...the temptation of having a strip club right upstairs would surely prove bad for someone.

Awesome man! In case I forget maybe you could pop by sometime when there's a game on just to make sure.
They probably aren't used to showing it; she asked me what channels they were on. If someone would give the numerical channels for the 2 FSN channels on TWC that'd be great.
I've been in Woody's but that was a loooonnngg time ago and it wasn't to watch sports. If I remember right it did seem a good atmosphere to watch a game though.

Someone needs to remember to call around during a Bobcats' game to see if the different places have it on. I was going to call during the Boston game but typically I forgot.
Someone mentioned the Carolina Ale House at Crossroads. That would be less a bar type atmosphere if anyone would prefer. I still don't know if they actually show them tho.

Would anyone be interested in going to the Blazers game with me on Saturday? I'm a pretty big basketball fan and I don't know alot of people that are as into the Bobcats as I am. Apparently the Blazers don't draw that much interest from casual fans, so none my friends really want to go.

So, my ladyfriend is going to host 16 or so other ladies at my place on Friday night. Their plan is to sit around gossiping, talking about the latest homosexual heartthrob vampire movie, and possibly watching "When Harry Met Sally."
My point?
I desperately need to get out of the house on Friday night.
Any chance of getting a big group of folks in the Raleigh area to show up at one place on Friday night (say, around 8/8:30) and watch the game?
Some folks have thrown out some places like Woody's, The Upper Deck, etc. Any of those sound fine. There's a place on Hillsborough St. near-ish to campus and 440 called The Brickhouse which has huge screens. Not sure if any of them will have the game, but if we split the duty, maybe those who plan to show can call around and decide on a place by early afternoon on Friday.
How's this sound?
Oh, and welcome to BCP Dlwhite!

I was a Charlotte Hornets fan when the Hornets came to the NBA. When the Hornets uncermonieally left Charlotte I just could not follow them. Though I was not a North Carolinian and still am not I was excited about the first expansion in my young life. I liked the look of the Hornets and also was a fan of the NCAA's Tar Heels. So after seeing basketball crazy Carolinians be the best fans I naturally was drawn to you people. The passion that fans showed for the Hornets during the few games I was able to watch was wonderful. I did not really understand the divorce of the Hornets from Charlotte and NC but felt the pain in a round about way that North Carolinians felt. I had poured all my support behind the Hornets and felt sad to see them taken away.
Now when it was agreed that Charlotte would get a team again I relished the chance to see the same enthusiam that the Hornets once had. So far the area is still jaded and has not overall gotten behind the Bobcats. None the less I have put my heart now behind the Bobcats and hope that North Carolinians will once again be the best fans in the NBA.
In the mean time I will support the Bobcats and take joy in their rise to the top. I know that at some point if the team continues to make waves there will be an outpouring of fan support. I have been critical of North Carolinians lack of support but at the same time I have never had a team taken from my home state that I was a die hard supporter of.
I grew up in Colorado and was a die hard supporter of anything Colorado so if the Nuggets or the Broncos were to leave I know it would be hard to accept any replacement teams. The Avs were not around when I left Colorado. I was 17 when my mom remarried and moved to a small community in North East Texas. I have been here 21 years. Anyway I am a Bobcats fan first but a close second for me is my Denver Nuggets. Only a few times have my Nuggets even resembled a team capable of winning it all. For the most part the Nuggets have been middle of the pack with no real hope of winning a title. Now they are a threat.
Well I don't think I will be car pooling and hooking up with any of you from North Carolina but the Bobcats and the people of your state have my full support and wish for a future title.
I live in Avinger Texas.

San Francisco here. And I'm pretty sure there are others since I've seen a few at the Warriors games.
