View Full Version : Week 6: Panthers @ Buccaneers "Upset Or Blowout?"
Do the Buccaneers pull off an upset or do the Panthers make them 0-6 by blowing them out like the last time we played them?
I'm gonna go with a blowout because I hate the Buc's and would love to see their fans cry and pull out the paper bags to hide their faces in shame!
My prediction... Panthers - 34 Buccaneers - 9
Finally, we play a team with a worse QB situation than us. Their coach said that Josh Johnson, their starter, was a career backup, then one week later named him the starter.
27-10, and Matt Moore plays the final drive because it's not that close.

I would love to see Matt Moore get some playing time at the end of the game but I don't see that happening as long as Fox is our coach.

Yeah, seems that way.
We better beat the Bucs. The way we've been playing, I'm not sure. Jake's 1st down run last game was awesome, though. Let's get more of that.

Somebody just posted on Facebook that we were looking to trade a 4th round pick for Brady Quinn. Anybody have information on this?

Doubt it. A lot. Not as long as Fox and Hurney are getting BJ's from Jake...

Hate to say it, but Jake must give a damn good BJ... How else can you explain it?
I'd give Quinn a chance on the Panthers for sure. The offensive line still needs to give more protection to whoever is behind center.

I'd trade Jake for a box of crayons at this point in his career.

Yeah, I cant see Cleveland letting Brady Quinn go for less than a late 2nd. After all, he was taken at like #22 in the 1st round. If we could get him for a 3rd rounder, it would be very well worth the risk. But since we already dont have a 1st rounder in this next draft, and Fox's and Hurney's jobs are likely on the line, not sure if the Big Cat will let them trade away another draft pick. Would not be fair to the next FO if there was a change. But if Jerry likes Quinn, he just might pull the trigger.

Yeah it would suck to be the new coach of a team and have no draft picks to work with. If Fox and Hurney do get fired and Bill Cowher becomes our new coach it wouldn't shock me if he tried trading Smitty and Beason for top 10 draft picks because Smitty is on the back end of his career and Beason just doesn't fit into his 3-4 defense.
So I was looking at our schedule, and we haven't lost to a bad team yet, and we could easily be 2-2, and we have 3 gimmies coming up.
If we're 4-3 after the Cards game, any chance at a Wild Card?

There's always a chance but I when the weather gets colder and teams start running at the middle of our D-line we're going to be in trouble.
It's not going to be a pretty sight when Brandon Jacobs is getting 5 yards or more per carry against us.

Well, we dont have to worry about Gaines Adams. Tampa just traded him to Chicago for a 2010 2nd rounder. Pretty much been a bust so far in his career. Think he has 1 sack and 10 tackles for the year.

It's sad but him being traded probably makes their D-line better, now they will replace him with someone who has a work ethic.
Gaines Adams was always like a Julius Peppers Jr. in my opinion, no heart.

The Panthers have been a major let down so far. Thomas Davis on the other hand seems to be having a career year

Well Ron Meeks defense is made for the WLB to make a lot of plays but he's also playing for that big contract this offseason when he becomes a free agent.

Something has to happen in this game. That Skins game was a good sign. The cats huge in till the end. Something better change or you can cancel post season in panther land.

Postseason?!?!?! HAHAHA...
I gave up on the playoffs after week 1, right now I just hope we can win 5 games.
A win is a win even if it was ugly, we only beat the Buc's by 7 points and that's kinda sad if you think about how many rushing yards we had.
We have so much talent but our QB just keeps on making mistake after mistake, he almost lost us the game today and that's unacceptable IMO.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTILL WE FIRE FOX, HIRE COWHER AND DRAFT A REAL FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK!!!!!

We won despite Jake being our QB. Cant believe he nearly threw this one away. At least Fox learned something. Jake only threw it 1x on that last drive. Think we had like 15 runs. Keep the ball in the hands of our RB's and out of Jake's hands.
The bad news: After the win, Steve Smith is lamenting that "he is no longer and asset to this team". That is because Jake cannot get him the ball. And I smell locker room trouble brewing.

I think we will win more than 5 but we wont make the playoffs...Jake has got to get it together.... Our defensive coach and offensive coaches are way too conservative for me I can understand it more on offense because of Jake not being able to pass without interceptions.... There were many mistakes I saw today.... Our secondary makes way too many mistakes in the first quarters of every game we play... Thank God for our 2 headed dragon on offense 250 yards rushing between the 2 is great....

Well I'm sorry but it's going to happen so you might as well get used to it.
Wait are you a fan of another team? Maybe that's why you disagree, you don't want to see the Panthers get a real QB.

I know those comments by Smitty caught me by surprise but I can understand why he feels that way.
We need a new head coach and a QB who can get the ball in our best players hands, and that player happens to be Smitty.
